Dragon Ball Z Budokai, but on the go. What this game lacks in creativity and story it makes up for in portability. It is disappointing to me that you can't customize your techniques like in the original trilogy, however, the fast-paced action is still all there, and the mission-based story mode was pretty fun to playthrough. If you liked playing the Budokai series, you will most likely enjoy this game as well, but otherwise, it is fine.
Honestly I enjoyed this game more than I should have. It's a pretty good effort for a portable take on the Budokai series, while i don't think the gameplay is quite on the same level of the console games it's still pretty respectable.
For me story mode is where the game shines, don't get me wrong this doesn't have some amazing written story, it's just dumb dbz shit to justify fights happening (particularly involving movie and dead characters) but it really tickled my dragonball autism and put a smile on my face. It's a very turn off your brain and just enjoy the spectacle kind of story and I enjoyed going through it.
