The Driver series sheds most of what makes itself unique to become another GTA clone. In the process, it becomes one of the better games in the series lmao

Esto es super unpopular opinion, pero es mi Driver favorito. Me encantaba que alternase el mundo de los 70 con el de la actualidad de aquel entonces. La música y la ambientación me absorbían por completo

Perfect for it's time and the time it represents in the game, I've found this game incredibly more fun than any other Grand Theft Auto game I've ever played and it's fair. The story is of course full of cliche's (like any early-mid 2000's flick), but the way the game converged ideas it carried on to the gameplay and the worldbuilding and characters around it is perfect but it could've used more work to reach it's full potential, like any Ubisoft game, it feels unfinished and sometimes feels or plays like that. Just a great game from my childhood all-around, used to play it alongside GTA:SA all the time and the time period thing really hit, It's good. Very good. Also the soundtrack is the best you'll find aynwhere, better than any GTA game, hehe i see where all the budget went, just like some other GHM game ;) Solid 4,5/5. Can not overstate the love for this game

You can play this only or play Driver 76 first.
The physic is okay, but the gun gameplay is not bad. Just remember the AI can shoot you accurately. I remember when camping in one room with 1 HP and then the AI walked past the door and shot me without delay.
Other than that, it's a really good driver game

It looked like a better game than Driver 3 back then, but replaying it now, I can confirm that it's a worse game.

The driving physics is simplified and more unfun by default. The cars are hideous for some weird reason when they looked fine before, and the missions themselves, most of them, are a bore. The shooting and character animations are awful and the worst part of the game.

i am convinced the civilians in this game are in on it and are secretly working for your enemies

Gostava bastante dessa ambientação nos anos 70 e a trilha sonora maravilhosa, mas o jogo em si é só mais ou menos.

Just imagine, it's 2006. There is NFS: Carbon, FlatOut 2, Test Drive Unlimited and GTA: Vice City Stories on the GameStop shelf. But you buy this new Driver game just because you're curious. At the moment you boot up this N64 game, the world falls apart on you...

I expected little and I was still underwhelmed

I guess Reflections had to make something this bland and boring before making something as great as Driver: San Fransico.

This has some peak GTA clone style shit and annoying mission design. At one point they ask you platform up a building on a bike and it sucks so bad. I gave up when they asked you to throw a race, but also help the worst driver in the world win. Not sure if it was hard but i entered with a too slow car and when i tried to exit to the menu it crashed and gave me enough time to realize i just wasn't having any fun.

Really good ideas, but still has more potential

you played gta san andreas on the ps2, i played driver parallel lines on the wii; we are not the same

Meh. It's a solid game, just not a unique one unfortunately.
