I haven't played this game in literally years and I dont think I could remember anything about it but I REALLY fucked with that Dookieshed video which I think might be lost media
it fell off so damn bad. super unique mmorpg at one point but those times did not last
Be me, bout 14 years old, see elsword "damn this game is perfect for me" boot up game and choose white haired edgelord, don't pay attention to the story, progress till about level 20, get my next class, level up further, eventually get bored and stop playing. Come back sometime later, completely naked, check inventory, clothes aren't there.
The one thing elsword shouldn't do, is take away the kick-ass costumes, I've heard that apparently they've got some insane stats and would be op, but they couldn't just... Make the armor do that and not the outfit? Then take the armor away? So I'm not left in my underwear?
Apparently it's so predatory so it's probably for the best that I stopped playing it.

Com o fim dos servidores originais de Grand Chase, acabei migrando para o Elsword, mas confesso que não me conquistou tanto. Não gostei, especialmente, do PVP.
KMMO moment. really awesome combat though!
I can't believe they killed Grand Chase in favour of this piece of crap.

Played this a LOT when I was a kid so I have fond memories of it but somewhere the game lost me and I never came back to it.
Kind of difficult to come back to it since one time I tried and my account had disappeared, but oh well.
Now for the 2023 review:
I suddenly remembered how I loved this game as a kid and how bummed I was when my account was deleted so imagine my surprise when I learned there's now a Steam verison; this will be my review of Elsword from a person who has not touched the game in almost 15 years:
It's so weird to see so many playable characters in 2023 not barred by the Gacha wall.
the gameplay is a mix of fighter and platformer with different skills and it is very fun and fast so dungeons don't take a lot of time.
Can't find people so always fight dungeons solo.
the job system and class change come really fast because it's really easy to level up (I got to level 50 in two days not even playing for 2 hours each day), it kinda feels like they want you to go straight to enjoying the endgame, but I'm still enjoying going back to the older regions because childhood.
the designs are very nice and you can see the evolution in character design and ideas the newer the class and design is.
the models are ok and hold surprisingly well for a game from 2007.
The community is alive, I just can't find italian people to play with...
The voiceover is only for attacks and in the world, the story is easy to follow and actually gets kind of interesting later on (even with the JRPG-ness of it) but is not voiced which is a shame since they dubbed the game in so many languages, even with an italian dub.
Fighting dungeons solo is fun but there is a small level of grind to be had.
The more you go through the story the longer the dungeons are which is not that fun when you are doing it solo like I'm doing.
The story is actually getting interesting the more you go trough, shedding some of the JRPG-ness of the plot in order to show more of the Nasod, the EL Lady and how it all connects to the beginning of your adventure
I'm afraid of the amount of hours I will sink into this...

I will always love this game because of the friendships it crafted for me. I've been apprehensize with going back to it cause I want to preserve that feeling
Had my 170 hours of fun with this one, but I doubt that number will ever increase.
No matter what I do I will never forget Elsword, maybe it is due to its cool and fast paced combat, or for its cool character designs.
Despite being so unique, the game is quite unplayable and super pay to win nowadays :(

Eu joguei esse jogo de 2016~2023. O jogo mudou MUUUUITO ao decorrer da vida dele. O jogo começou bem divertido, apesar da KOG fazer bastante cagada. Mas ao decorrer do tempo o jogo ficou cada vez mais entediante e chato, sem falar no grinding absurdo que esse jogo te obriga a fazer. Tem vários motivos do porque eu odeio esse jogo hoje em dia.

cute artstyle game i was obsessed with as a kid and surprisingly competent MMORPG with satisfying gameplay
It was really good.
I played this a lot when I was a kid, started around the time Hamel was released (in Poland at least) and kept playinf for a few years, first on the Polish server, then on some private ones (rip VoidEls), now I occasionally hop on to play on NA when i want to feed my nostalgia, but the game has changed in so many ways that I can't bring myself to stick with it for long anymore. Brought me a lot of good memories tho, so I will always cherish it for that.
I played this game during its first years of release, I was obsessed and played religiously everyday. However, years and updates later, I found myself unable to feel the spark anymore so I had to drop it :(
But I have many good memories meeting people and playing with friends, so I can't give it a negative review
I also want to point out that one of my very first characters glitched throughout the updates to a point where I had missions from early levels, so this was awful!

i've put a couple hundred hours in this fucker, I still remember one-shotting bosses with rage hearts, it was fun. The game itself is not bad, just a grindy mmo, but the developer makes it a pay-to-win, unfun, unbalanced mess.
Muito nostálgico, mas consegue ficar facilmente saturado.
