Why this game? I don't remember what made me get it years ago but it's actually an average game for the most part, the music sets the tone for the quirky game and has decent tracks most of the time. The graphics are actually vivid and highly detailed, the gameplay is quite simple with a three hit attack, jump attack, and one special meter attack, add in some platforming and you pretty much have the game. The story is nothing special but it's there. It's an average game, not bad just average.
Would you believe me if I said this was a hack and slash game? No? Well to my surprise, this was a hack and slash game... A barebones one, a shame too. The game has a lot of charm and one may assume this is a platforming or racer title because thats what most licensed games are. Well, for a Sanrio title, our main protagonist Kitty, takes on an alien invasion about to take over the world! And with rescuing her friends, that one may barely notice cause half of the time if not almost all of the game can be beat by just mindlessly pressing A. Roller rescue is without a doubt one of the more easier 2000's titles, and this is not all of the issues Roller Rescue has, Kitty's family feels as if they forgot that family and friends need to be rescued. Which is greatly confusing. Kitty moves quite slow on top of that, just because Hello Kitty has a family friendly title doesn't mean the game shouldnt be this simple. However, the game does a ok job at being, well, a game? Who knows what Im even saying at this point, if you like hello kitty. I guess you might find some joy in it, like simple hack and slash cute games? Well maybe try Hello Kitty Roller rescue? The final boss was fun but a huge miss in execution. All in all? A game that only hello kitty / sanrio fans will find joy in. Non Sanrio fans? You're not missing out. 6/10 cause im Nice
Objectively a 5/10 unfortunately. Sanrio could really benefit from a truly good video game, however, Hello Kitty doesnt need video games at all to stay relevant. So it makes sense why this game is just barely passable.

honestly not bad. it was enjoyable for what it was. started playing it on a whim and ended up finishing it in one sitting. a fun little hack-and-slash featuring hello kitty and other sanrio characters. while a bit repetitive (perhaps partially because i played it in one sitting) and lacking a large arsenal / expanded moveset, it was good fun. definitely more than i expected from a hello kitty game from 2005 that i had never heard of before today.
Uh, a game. That's for sure. Kinda think its funny to have a Hello Kitty action game. But I don't think I could muster more than 2 words about it. It was a game with enemies that you hit and you jump sometimes...
Strange game because it's super unremarkable and kinda weirdly memorable at the same time.
