You occasionally get quests from NCPs animals while you plant trees and go fishing. You earn income from your garden, plant more trees, then it cycles. Basic and simple gameplay. Perfect when I wasn't feeling well; a pastime when you need to turn your brain off.
It was quick and easy to get all achievements. I do wish there was more to spend your currency. Maybe decorations to spruce up your garden? At the end I had a ton of money and some empty space. I didn't know what to spend it on.

A fetch-quest focused game involving a mashup of fishing, farming, boating, and cleaning presented in a side-scrolling format with sprite/retro look and graphics. There is also a slight idle/incremental component in the gameplay once you unlock 'minions' that can collect your produce and cash them in.
It's a relaxing experience deprived of any challenge only other than your own patience in order to row your boat and/or travel by balloon from one island to another in order to complete fetch quests for different demigods that have (in a nice way) taken you hostage in their magical world to clean up their world and restore it after a huge storm hit.
Due to the simple and fairly short nature of the game (can be beat and fully completed with all achievements under 5 hours easily) and lack of replay value, this is a decent recommendation when it's on sale.

Perfectly cute and light game.
If I've got a complaint it's that at the end, it's a lot of waiting for materials without it being very actively involved. You run out of things to do fairly early on as you can automate gathering of plants and fruit (which you'll want to do), I just wish the game gave a little more to do while you wait for some of these numbers to go up.

You play as Cassie, a young human who gets swept away during a storm. She finds herself on an island with Luna, a magical robed fox who rules over this series of islands. It’s up to Cassie to help Luna clean up after the storm to return the islands to their former glory!
The story is really straight forward and there isn’t too much to it other than as a set up for the gameplay.
Visuals
Luna’s Fishing Garden is done in pixel art with what looks to be handdrawn backgrounds. It’s very cute and colorful. I liked all of the different animal sprites that Cassie meets as you uncover more islands. Although Cassie herself is rather plain and generic.
Sound Effects + Music
The music in Luna’s Fishing Garden is fine. It’s very upbeat and cutesy, but it does get repetitive very quickly. When the background music fades out, you can really hear the ambient noises which are quite nice. I did prefer them to the actual music.
Gameplay + Controls
Luna’s Fishing Garden is a simple and relaxing game based around fetch quests. All of the animals you meet along the way will want something from you, usually fish, but also other small things. Their tasks are never too complicated, and you’ll always know exactly where to go to get what you need. It’s all very linear, with no exploration.
The controls are pretty standard and easy to get the hang of. I used an Xbox controller on my PC, so I was mainly just using the left stick to move around and select items from menus, and the A button to select or progress dialogue. I did find myself pressing B out of habit to close out of mini games, but that’s not necessary, and it actually brings up the game menu.
The main mini game is of course fishing. You have two styles to choose from: a more relaxing style and a challenging style. I stuck with relaxing, since that’s what I wanted out of this game. You’ll simply hold A once the fish is on the hook, then briefly release when it wiggles, then hold again until it’s reeled in. Some fish are more wiggly than others. The challenging fishing mode appeared to be like the one in Stardew Valley, which I suck at.
My favorite part was filling in Nigel’s field guide, which is essentially this game’s version of ACNH‘s critterpedia.
Replayability
I enjoyed my time with Luna’s Fishing Garden, but the linear nature of the tasks doesn’t lend itself to replaying. I even got all of the achievements in one go. It took me about 3 hours to 100%, so it’s definitely a game that can be replayed without taking up too much time.
Overall
Luna’s Fishing Garden is a super cute and relaxing game. It’s exactly what I needed at the time that I played it. You don’t need much brain power or gaming skill. It’s just a fun time.

A fun idle fishing game with a surprising amount of detail!
The main mechanic of the game is fishing, with two different levels of difficulty. There's no punishment for which you pick – the full game and achievements can be experienced regardless! As you play, you unlock more options for passive income, which also bring life back to the islands. As you complete tasks, you upgrade your items, creating goals and a sense of progression as you play.
The story of the game is very simple, but doesn't need to be anything more complicated. The characters are full of life and personality. The animation and art complement this, making it enjoyable to complete each quest!
The game unlocks new elements at a nice pace. This means there's more to consider as you get further into the game. I did find fishing became redundant at a certain point, as other resources were needed and I had an excess of leaves. I only fished to collect new fish, or complete with quests.
The game did also involve some idling with nothing else to do, as money wasn't needed and there was no faster way to gain a resource. Instead I waited around until I'd collected enough to complete the quests.
Overall, a short but enjoyable game that has a lot of flexibility in how you play it! Incredibly cute art and a light-hearted, fun adventure <3

Luna's Fishing Garden is such a wonderful little game! It's an idler, which means it's very easy to play and you can't lose in this one.
Your goal is to collect fish and other resources in order to restore the islands. Most of the time you'll be either placing new plants or fishing. I should say that some fishes are a bit harder to catch than others, but the overall difficulty is okay, you shouldn't have any problems with that.
The art is pretty and very cheerful to look at, the music is nice too. The plot is... there, not much to say about it. Anyway, the idlers don't really need it, so it's fine, it's just not the strongest point of the game.
I recommend this game if you're feeling tired and burnout to play something big or if you simply like casual games. It will keep you occupied for an evening or two, and you can always return to your garden or begin a new game, if you feel like it ♡

It's a pleasant little game for the two and half or so hours it took me to do everything. Very cute art, nice music, fun characters to meet, and a comfy flow to the game. You paddle your little boat around, catch some fish, collect some fruit, and befriend various animal spirits. Near the end it becomes a bit of an idle game which isn't inherently a bad thing because doing everything manually would've been way too tedious. But it does feel like it needed something to help balance it out and give you some reason to move around and do things. It was a nice time but wasn't amazing. Just a good lil thing to play in an afternoon.
