Would you believe me if I told you this is, in my opinion at least, the best party game ever made?
Yes, I'm extremely biased, but this is far from one of those games where everyone hates it but me, the vast majority of people agree with my affectionate gushing over this beautiful "why-is-this-a-thing" game. That's got to say something positive about what it achieved.
Sure, Mario and Sonic deserve a more substantial outing, but hey, I wouldn't trade this game for the world. It gave me so many good memories, and I still get the urge to revisit this game absurdly often. It's aged phenomenally, and it's honestly depressing that it never got topped by its successors.
Nevertheless, go play this game. It has NO right to exist, but we should be very glad that it does. The world may just be a darker place without it.

The games themselves have been refined, the party mode is a great timewaster (if immensely frustrating when an NPC gets the random event that swaps your just-about-to-be-completed sticker board with theirs), and some frankly hilarious multiplayer potential with the Dream Events mean this is a good pick for whiling away an afternoon.
This is the best of the Mario & Sonic Olympic games series. So many hours put into it complete with a mario party esc mode where you walk around London challenging others in multiplayer. You can also equip armor and clothing on your mii to have customizable stats which is cool! I thoroughly enjoyed this game!
It's no masterpiece by any means, but I feel this is the title that managed to make the most out of its shallow-by-design minigames while still using the console's unique capabilities in meaningful ways. The Dream Events are somewhat interesting and the secondary modes succeed in giving a little more depth to what's ultimately a rushed and uninspired game system.
