I have a ton of complaints about missed opportunities with mechanics (especially jail needs system), some creepy fan service, boring combat, overly winding dungeon designs with poor loot payoffs, etc.

In the end, though, I didn't mind doing some grinding and I enjoyed the setting, characters (even if they were a bit tropey), and story enough that I'm glad I pushed through the less great parts. Got some weird shit going on there and I dug it.

Ought to be good but isn't. Giant empty dungeons, boring enemies, awful balance, meh writing. There's a skill that deals "superior-element" damage to all enemies that might as well say "win all random encounters instantly." Solid character designs, and the real-time boss-dungeon-thing that caps off the temple area is genuinely cool.

crashes too much, has savepoints. Both minus points which make it hard to play

im beyond glad i had an older save that wasnt too far behind. keep ur old saves cuz its really easy to lock yourself out of true ending if u just have the one

maybe a weird complaint, but given how strong the setting and theming was, I kind of wish this game was a bit more player hostile? it puts its QOL more into like, saving anywhere and leaving anywhere rather than the menus working good (the your stats go up indicator for equipment just did not work right for me and i cannot for my life figure out why. i had to compare everything manually). I love running away from nightmares and making quick decisions since youre on a timer when running from them, but i just stunned most of them in like one hit from my black mages once i was halfway through. cool game tho, has like 4-5 really strong characters and i just do not care about the rest

Tons of fun, but the side stories were cheesy. Nightmares chasing you is quite stressful, but I still enjoyed the game.

The gameplay is good, but this game is bad vibes distilled to their purest essence. It's morally reprehensible and I would not recommend it to most people.

I have to note that I played this on the Vita as well as the remake on the Nintendo Switch. For the most part, I'm going to comment on the Nintendo Switch remake as I feel like it's the better version of the game despite what some may think. The general idea of the game is to take a first-person dungeon crawler, similar to the old school D&D PC games, and provide a new twist with the Nightmare chase mechanic. The setting is kind of polarizing. It is gothic anime to the core, with a healthy sprinkling of fairy tale and horror. You'll either love it or hate it. I personally love it. The story is pretty interesting, even though the dialogue can be pretty bad at times. There's some visual novel elements to the game that are purely for those that want it as you can completely skip them without hurting the progression of the game, which is nice to be able to do if that isn't your thing. The combat is very satisfying. In fact, it probably has some of my favorite character customization and combat of any first-person dungeon crawler I've played. It's got enough elements to keep it fresh that I made it through the whole game to the true ending without ever feeling like things were stagnating. Overall, if you don't like first-person dungeon crawlers this game is certainly going to miss the mark for you. If you've never played one and are interested in doing so, this is a fantastic first one to play so long as the art style and presentation aren't a complete turn-off for you.

+ 50 hours on vita. I love the character designs and world for this game. It has some really cool ideas.

Le meilleur dungeon crawler auquel j'ai pu jouer. Dommage que j'avais du mal avec l'anglais à l'époque du coup je sais plus trop si l'histoire était cool, mais y'avait des waifus donc ça passe.

You have much better choices if you want a DRPG entry.

So far I'm seven hours in, be prepared to grab a guide and a few already completed maps online. This game does not I mean does not hold your hand at all. You are expected to know the very ins and outs for every map. On Nightmare mode, you should pray that you know what class to give to what character.

Jack Skelter's quest tattles a tale as old as time itself. "Fuhihi, what if I squirted my blood all over these epic bishoujos?". Jack got his wish and became the blood guy, thanks to technological advancements in genocide, paintball, forced cultural advancement, and the Japanese military R&D department.

Now he leads a death march against creepy looking bullshit, cause girls think his blood is so sexy they can't control their sopping wet dripping when he bleeds. Take control of Jack in this epic quest but don't let mom see.
