Get this + XX and you'll have the full experience of one of the funniest SNK franchises ever.
The granade with the motion control was just funny as the most spastic thing to do when playing this with friends.

All the games together, so cool O__O

3, X, 2, 1, 4, 5, 6

I love these games so much, X and 3 are my go-to replays but most of the others are still great to this day as well.

Fuck yeah, works for me. Can you imagine the amount of quarters.....

legal, metal slug é uma franquia divertida

Amazing, definitive, collection of Metal Slug games. Apart from their arcade counterparts, I feel like this is still the definitive way to play these games.

Ok so the port quality of the PS4 version is... not the best. I don't know if this also happens in the PS2 version, but there is like half a second of input lag that kind of takes you out of the game. As for the games themselves, here are my opinions:

Metal Slug - it gets extra points for being the first game, but if you compare it to its sequels it's easily the worst.

Metal Slug 2 - a vast improvement over the first one, the levels are more memorable (except for the last one that kinda sucks) and there's a lot of new stuff that became staples of the series. Also the twist of having supernatural and alien enemies is freaking awesome, I love me some Mars people.

Metal Slug X - basically the same as MS2 but with some minor improvements and different level layouts. It spoils the Martians stuff literally in the first second, but if you don't care about that just play this version.

Metal Slug 3 - I'm a bigger fan of the supernatural side of Metal Slug than the military one, so this one is obviously my favorite. Mission 3 is a bit lackluster and Mission 4's second half is... kinda racist, but the second and final levels are freaking perfect, and playing as a zombie is awesome, so it's all mostly forgiven.

Metal Slug 4 - this game sure exists! I like the weird twist at the end and you can turn into a monke, but this one has so few memorable things that I honestly think it's on the same level as the first one.

Metal Slug 5 - I know I've said that I prefer more supernatural Metal Slugs, but I love the weird terrorists and cults stuff in this game. It's fun but I feel like the best mission is the first one, so everything else feels lesser in comparison.

Metal Slug 6 - it's the second best one, although I wish it kept the sound clips and the sprite backgrounds from the other games, as it feels kind of soulless because of it. Also the only reason why this has a difficulty setting is to hide the final mission and that's dumb as fuck.

An anthology where its a case of it being better than the sum of its parts. You get all the available mainline entries up to that point in 2007, so 1 thru 6 & X (neither of the pocket games made it) The emulation is far from arcade perfect, but its still fun and one of those things great for some couch co-op with maybe some beer.

graphics and gameplay are buttery smooth. it's a great set if you like this kinda game!

This is the de facto standard of playing through Metal Slug. It's missing features from standalone games such as training mode, etc, but you're likely not going to care about them when you start playing through the games. If you're into classic arcade shoot-em-ups, I highly recommend this for your backlog.

No MS5, porém, o ritmo é recuperado.

great collection. Shaking the wii-motes for grenades leaves a lot to be desired, as do most of the other control schemes. If you can get over that this is the definitive metal slug collection. Play on the ps2 version if you can.

anthology more like....er idk but its very good

It's Metal Slug. You run to the right, you kill bad guys, you die a lot, you have fun. It's just pure, simple, arcade action with beutiful pixel art.
My favorite is 3 but all of them are good.

At the time of its release, this was the most comprehensive collection of Metal Slug games. You really can't go wrong with any of the Metal Slug games included in this compilation, they are all fun and proof that this is one of the best arcade game series out there.

The presentation in terms of menus and accessing collectibles could have been better and have a more polished look. Wii version supports different controller methods.

They should have just re released this collection and tweaked it to be close to arcade perfect. It's the most complete collection of 1-6. Still the best way to experience the metal slug games

I still wish we could have Metal Slug 4 to 6 on PC even if they aren't that great.
