What "forces of darkness" was the announcer talking about that this child is fighting? Is he at odds with the mafia? Are all non-subscribers in the city pedophiles? Do Nazis love painting their houses red?

Decent isometric visuals and presentation overall, but I never cared for the gameplay.

If there’s one game I can definitely class as a ‘dad game’ it would be paper boy. The amount of times someone who grew up in the 80’s talks about paper boy is quite funny really. Oh well let’s see how I can stretch this review out for a good couple of minutes…like what more do you want? It’s a boy that delivers newspapers.

So, as the paper boy you have to throw the newspapers at the different peoples properties, making sure to throw them in the mailboxes for the subscribers and throw them into the windows of the non-subscribers. As you go along each street you make sure not to hit any of the obstacles or to put it lightly…you can kiss your career goodbye. You also have to make sure to grab more newspapers so you don’t run out of windows to smash.

Paperboy is an interesting and quirky little game that does what it says. I could’ve done a bigger review but trust me…that will come soon.

Quirky, silly gameplay, does what it says, screw that traffic

Arcade game. Really boring.

i briefly worked in an office that had contracted with the new york times. on the floor they occupied they had two full size paperboy cabs - i guess to tie in with the newpaper theming and to entertain the employees. paperboy is not a good perk to offer your employees

This game has been garbage since its inception and just because it was ported to every 8bit/16bit machine on the planet won't change my mind.

Game I used to play, don't remember it being like the best but it sure entertained me :)

Paper Boi, Paper Boi (Really)
All about that paper, boy (Paper)
Got a team to serve a fiend (Paper)
All from Cali to Decatur, boy (Stack it)
That paper, boy, paper, boy
All about that paper, boy (Yeah!)
I keep a ting (Uh, yeah!)

Paper Boi, Paper Boi, always 'bout that paper, boy
If you ain't on your grind and you flexin', you's a hater, boy
Paper Boi, Paper Boi, always gettin' paper, boy
If you ain't makin' money then you ain't a money maker, boy
Paperclip, paperclip, yeah, I need a paperclip
I'm stackin' up this paper, man and I could make that paper flip
That paper flip, paper flip, watch me make this paper flip
Then head to Magic City and I bet that paper make her strip
Paper man, paper man, catch me in the paper, man
Like Wall Street Journal, yeah, 'cause I be gettin' paper, man
Paper man, paper man, yeah, I'm gettin' paper, man

I won't lie, my fondness for this game is mostly nostalgia. However, I still think there's a very fun time to be had smashing people's windows, avoiding out of control babies, and being a general menace to society with your remarkable paper-throwing skills.

Well you throw paper.. things have advanced a bit since then. although this does have a pretty good sense of humour

Paper boy is fun but hard. I liked all the wackiness but never got far. It's a classic.

The only game I could play with my Mom.

I'd be the guy in the car trying to run this little shit down, that much I can tell you.

Fun game, but it seems to be lost in its own little world where it thinks that reading the news makes people happy.

~ Juegos que Hay que Jugar Antes de Morir ~

Juego 69: Paperboy (1984)

A classic arcade game, and honestly really weird if you think about it. It’s extremely difficult too sometimes, almost feeling unfair.

Uno de mis juegos favoritos de la consola, muy entretenido en sesiones cortas!

Have you ever heard people talk about a classic game or movie for 10+ years, to the point that you assume it's one of the all-time greats, despite never having actually tried it?

By the mid-2000s, I had heard people wax nostalgic for Paperboy dozens upon dozens of times. It felt like it was in the same conversation as arcade classics like Galaga or Donkey Kong. Around 2005 I finally got my hands on it.

Guess what! It was terrible!

I have tried one version or another of this awful game every couple of years since then, and every time I wonder the same thing: "What is there to enjoy here?!?" It's such a frustrating, miserable experience, and it blows me away that people ever sank quarters into this hellspawn's arcade cabinet.

I hate this game so much.

Jogava quando estava enjoado dos outros jogos, nunca fui muito fã.
