As a top-tier player in the competitive Paunch scene, my standards for games are quite high. When I first dove into Hypnospace Outlaw, I was pleasantly surprised by its unique blend of nostalgia and puzzle-solving. The game's retro-futuristic aesthetic and clever use of early internet tropes really drew me in.

The gameplay, while not overly complex, offers a satisfying challenge, especially when trying to uncover hidden content and solve the mysteries within the game. The pacing can be a bit slow at times, but I found that it added to the overall immersion and atmosphere of the game.

One of the standout features of Hypnospace Outlaw is its soundtrack, which perfectly captures the essence of the late 90s internet era. The music really enhances the experience and helps to transport you back in time.

Overall, I would give Hypnospace Outlaw a solid 9/10. It's a game that's not afraid to take risks and try something different, and for that, it deserves praise. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique gaming experience.

Great game for when you want to beat up fat bald guys

I have the ninefold achievement

greatest game of all time

"PAUNCH, in essence, is not a game but a lesson. A lesson that teaches us about what it is to be human, and our inherent flaws. The actual meaning of the word 'paunch' is a large stomach (like the belly of Bob, the being we play as), however it is more obviously a play-on-words of the word 'punch.'

The duality of the title is representative of what the game stands for, showing us that as humans, we have two sides to us. One being the side that we like to display to others - the one we are proud of. Our other face is the one we keep to ourselves, as it is far too twisted to be deemed acceptable. The goal of PAUNCH is to bring that second personality to light, acting as a microcosm for society and showing the true evil of mankind and its innate ability to seek out violence.

This message is clearly demonstrated in how punching is an involuntary action within the game. It is beyond our capabilities as humans to refrain from violence, how we automatically treat others around us with hostility. The second anyone comes close to us, we lash out with agression." -zeebarbeelbamboozlezebubage

This game is so stupid. Made me laugh.

Definitely the worst game I've ever played. Controls like shit, doesn't feel good to play, the graphics are middling at best, the mechanics themselves are flawed... I could go on really. Sorry for anything I might have said about Brawlhalla.

better than smash in nearly every aspect

Good for a laugh with a friend. However, this definitely plays like someone's unreal assignment for a college game dev course.

because this is tagged as sexual content on steam i get Hentai Pussy Pounder IV recommended to me on the store homepage now. fml

GREATEST FIGHTING GAME EVER

Came for the memes, stayed for the paunch. And then left after me and my friend got bored.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you WILL rethink your life. 5/5 best game on steam

Very obviously somebody's first game, and since it's free I can't complain too much. Plays decently enough, runs fine, and the concept is too funny to pass up (the boulder giveth, the boulder taketh away) so it's great with friends.

Still has no value past a couple of matches though. Mostly there simply for memes and possible hilarity in video compilations.

a masterpiece in every sense of the word
