This was adorable and pretty polished. I might have continued to play it longer if I wasn't busy that summer, but it's probably a good thing I didn't waste more time on it.

A banger of a game, shiny karp and Gyarados. Simple loop but really fun. Now that I've experienced Pocket Card Jockey, I can see where GameFreak got this idea from.
Super grindy, not great. 5/10
I mean, as far as little mobile games go, this one's pretty fun. Would take you a loooong time to beat without spending enough money to get the game to cut you off and give you stuff for free. I speak from experience there.

It was cute because I liked how cute the Magikarps are and their different patterns. Not much in gameplay, pretty much an Idle game.

Really grindy if you don't spend money on microtransactions (I didn't), but the simple loop is kinda fun, at least there's an end

I will never get the time I spent on this game back. Thankfully, it was my shittin game, so I mostly took that time away from YouTube and leaving the bathroom sooner.
This game sapped the life from my soul for over three months. I felt visceral overwhelming relief upon finally beating it. When I saw that there was an end in sight, I almost started to enjoy it. I hit the Master League, realized there were only 15 "battles" left, and felt a weight slowly lift from my shoulders. I think this game gave me a small degree of trauma and in the end I ended up with a modicum of Stockholm Syndrome.
Plus one whole star for the fact that the game is based around Magikarp, likely my favorite Pokémon. It's kinda cute and vaguely funny at points. I had fun naming my Magikarp silly things.
