Mega is still the best gimmick in pokemon terastilization is next. Villain sucks and rivals are so boring they ruin the enjoy for most of the game. Wish they made pokemon z, but atleast they are finally giving zygarde justice.

Em comparação com os demais jogos da franquia esse é um dos mais fracos. Nunca passei tanta dificuldade para montar um time de qualidade da geração como nesse jogo. Vamos combinar que a câmera se alterando quando chegamos em determinadas cidades é irritante!

chill as fuck bat and my dude zygarde

The definition of mid
Nothing this game does is outstanding or outright bad , its a technical demo for GF but its about it .

7.5 - I put a LOT of hours into this game as a kid mostly with competitive breeding & shiny breeding but as an adult I realize that this game is incredibly bland. Couple of great pokemon additions, Luminose is awesome, and mega evolutions are one of the best things they've done with the franchise but my god everything else is just meh.

Solid games but could've been much better given more time.

Huge step up from black and white. Art style was wonderful. Elite 4 and gyms weren’t tough at all but the story was great. THE GANG IS SO WONDERFUL, I LOVE THEM ALL AHHHHHH!!!!! Mega evolution is way better than terrastalizing & dynamaxing.

Quite possibly one of the worst Pokemon games I've ever played. I feel like the story fell flat on its face, literally cannot remember what the plot even was. The characters had no substance, you have 4 different rivals which is just way too much for any development to go on at all. Shauna was the one you saw the most so she's the one I remember the most as well- I feel like if it was just her and maybe the other player character rival, I think it could've been fine, but adding the other two just made it far too complicated.
I don't remember any of the gym leaders personalities, I played this game after SW/SH and S/M, so those were my experiences with Pokemon characters, so I had expected that, at least, the Gym Leaders would have a personality. Didn't! They got maybe two lines of dialogue and you never saw them again. I don't even remember any of their names aside from Wulfric, who did actually have a personality. The story was so scattered that I didn't even remember the importance of the Floette until the end. The bad guy (forgot his name) was unimportant and I don't think I saw him for the latter half of the game.
It was very easy to get lost. The city was so complicated and I would spend 10 minutes just rollerskating around trying to find the place I needed to go. They don't tell you anything. Near the final route, I got extremely lost and ended up finding a cave system that I had assumed was the path to the end-- it wasn't. It was an optional grinding spot and I spent over 30 minutes inside of it. If that wasn't bad enough, when I finally got out (had to use an escape rope) I had to find a guide just to move on, because the entrance to the next route was completely hidden. For a kid's game, I found myself turning to online guides and videos way too often just to get through certain sections.
The new Pokemon designs were fine, I guess, despite it having the least amount of new Pokemon introduced. The introduction of the fairy typing was pretty nice, of course, I love Slyveon. The Flabébé line and the Froakie line are my favorites, I can't particularly remember any Pokemon aside from those that really stood out to me. The gameplay is mostly fine, I didn't have that many problems with it. Mega Evos was a fun little thing! In a better game, I think I would've appreciated it more.
The playtime system was interesting, but generally on a 3DS, it has its problems. The "mimicking" face game could have been cool, but it just doesn't account for that many face types and situations. I read that lighting would make it better, but most of the time, it wouldn't recognize a smile because of my face type.
Personally, haven't played B/W yet, but I assumed going from that (which is famously a good game) to this must've been disappointing to Pokemon fans. They focused a lot on the 3d aspects of it and I think completely shoved everything else to the side.

0.5 out of 5. Play Sun and Moon instead.

I remember Columbus Day weekend 2013 when this game came out my friends and I went HAM and only played it the entire time. Kalos is full of phenomenal ideas that are unfortunately half baked, and a lot of the characters just fucking suck. No way around it. The new pokemon are great for the most part, but very limited. I love the region design, and mega evolutions are peak. Here's to hoping Legends ZA answers the threads XY opened but never elaborated on.

Is it the best Pokemon game? Probably not, nevertheless, the amount of nostalgia I have for Pokemon Y is unexplainable. I met my favorite Pokemon through this game, It was the first Pokemon game I completed on my own and I cried when I lost the box for the game. Just too much good memories to ignore.

So boring it made me drop the series

um bom jogo, mas eu não gosto tanto da dex, a história e fraca e honestamente a única coisa que faz eu gostar de kalos são as mega evoluções que são épicas.

Nota: 7,5/10 Bom.

8 year old me played this to death

Positives:
+Added the Fairy type
+Mega Evolutions
+Some cool new pokémon like Sylveon, Tyrantrum, Greninja, Malamar, Pangoro, Dragalge, Zygarde, Diancie, Yveltal, Aurorus, Hawlucha, etc.
+Viola is a top-tier waifu.

Negatives:
-This game is brain-dead easy to the point of not being very enjoyable at all.
-The AI is so dumb it might also be called an "Artificial Stupidity"
-Most characters are bland and forgettable.
-Mega evolution was poorly implemented in the sense of some pokémon who received it were already strong to begin with (Garchomp, Tyranitar) or would've appreciated more a regular evolution instead (Banette, Sableye, Mawile).

Enjoyment: decent for the first 5 minutes then quickly got bored.

ALLONS ENFANT DE LA PATRIE

Bom jogo, mas nada de mais, e 0 conteúdo de pós jogo, é realmente um dos piores jogos de Pokémon mas não é ruim.

Maybe because Pokemon X/Y is the first Pokemon game I played since Pokemon R/B/Y, but dang it I love this game. I was one of those Gen 1ers for years. - "Any Pokemon after Mew don't count".
And then the first ever 3D Pokemon was announced. A 3D Pokemon game! It's what I had been dreaming about since I was a child. Maybe not exactly like this but close enough. I had a 3DS already, so why not? It looked cool!

I've heard the complaints about this game from seasoned Pokemon fans and I get it. I know this game isn't perfect, but as someone who was coming back to the series for the first time in 15 years, I was enamored. I will forever be grateful to Pokemon X/Y for getting me back into Pokemon and for curing me of my Gen 1 disease.

We're entering the time where the 6th generation is beloved after years of hate.

I still think this gen marks the beginning of the end in terms of captivating campaigns. They essentially removed labyrinths and integrated a weaker narrative.

That said, for a 3DS game I think it holds up. OST stands out and mega evolution was an enjoyable gimmick. Easily the newest generation I would go back to the soonest.

A good pokemon game but not is the better, i've playing with full eevee team, and was funny

Though I've always thought of XY as the weakest of the mainline base titles, in retrospect there are certain things about it that I like and respect about it. In particular, after SV, I appreciate the generic NPC trainer designs (not just Hex Maniac but her too), the great player trainer fashion, and some of the towns.

On the other hand, the music is a lot of bland and generic orchestrated music, a huge step down from the distinct and memorable midi music of previous titles. Only a few tracks are good and they're often only heard in too short of a time.

That sums up the main story and game as well - there's a hint of something interesting here and there, but overall the game is rationed out in too small portions. It says a lot that the short post-game bonus Emma/Looker scenario would have made for a better main scenario than what was actually the main story. And I said that the generic NPC trainers are good, but many of the actual named trainers kind of fall short of being memorable, including most the gym leaders and elite four.

Mega Evolutions are a vexing addition to the series, kinda cool and giving some Pokemon a second chance but also poorly balanced and it took actual evolutions away from some Pokemon that could have used one. I also think the Mega Evos are why there aren't as many new Pokemon this gen. Also, the in-game difficulty was toned down too much, so it's not really satisfying.

Overall, the sum of the parts combined create a bland experience that I think is still one of the weaker titles. Maybe they'll do better next time during their next go in Kalos.
