this game fucking sucks lol

RealSports Boxing is a fine enough simple boxing game where your primary attack button is able to be used as the punch button but also by going backwards and holding the action button you're able to block. It's a simple and fun boxing game, that certainly has difficulty but for the most part I liked it for what it is, a simple Boxing game on the Atari 2600. Played on Atari 50.

Part of the RealSports series on Atari 2600 comes the boxing variant of the series. Pretty basic set up with having four characters to select from and just straight up starting in a match immediately. Surprised there's hit animations when someone gets hits making this one of the more advanced 2600 titles out there even with it coming out late in it's life.

Played as part of Atari 50.

This released after Punch Out.

Sadly the last game in the RealSports series is among the weakest; but for no fault of trying. Boxing is the absolute limit of what could be done for this genre on the 2600's hardware and controller. It just sadly ends up feeling too button mashy.
