I’m never going to be done playing this one. An all time favorite. The soundtrack is a little too focused on having solid songs as opposed to songs that are fun to play though, which Rock Band 2 balanced way way better. The keyboard mode has my brain and fingers feeling awful. I would not wish a pianists talent on my worst enemy. Anyway, time to get back to the expert tutorials!

Very good entry in the Rock Band series adding more songs and the use of new instruments. Great game and memories playing this with friends.

Expert pro keys is literally just playing the piano which makes this the only actually useful rhythm game for learning an instrument, besides like Rocksmith I guess.

i had a blast playing this with friends

the game I've played the most with family

I've sang Black Sheep by Metric more than the actual band has played it live, probably.

Also probably why I haven't needed vocal training since starting estrogen. Thanks, Metric!

Played at a friends house a couple times. Fun but my least played of the series.

Sadly, a bit of a step down from RB2. The band creator and touring mode was scaled way back and it didn't really feel like it brought a lot to the table other than some new songs. Still, Rock Band is Rock Band.

This is my favorite iteration of my favorite franchise of games. It's Rock Band in its complete, fully realized form. That Rock Band 4 couldn't even scrape the surface of its predecessor's complete competency plagues me to this day.

What if Rock Band 2 had a good soundtrack (and also chord HOPOs actually worked)

Greatest rhythm game of all time. So many bangers, with the addition of the keyboard, AND it supports custom songs? Fire. I put so many hours into this.

God, it's really good, but it really just didn't grab me in the same way 2 did. I really don't know how to explain what felt like it was missing, but something really felt like it was missing. Still fantastic.

The ultimate plastic instrument experience. While the game doesn't have the best base setlist (that title belongs to Rock Band 2), it has the most to it, with harmonies, pro instruments and keyboard being added. On top of that the plethora of exports from old games and 1000s of DLC (not to mention 20k+ custom songs out there) make this the quintessential music video game for anyone who wants to try and fail to play Everlong on drums in front of all their friends.

The tour modes removal was a drastic mistake that hurts an otherwise all around better Rock Band 2.

plastic guitar rhythm games were very much the sort of thing that you just had to be there for, and this remains in my mind as the pinnacle of that short little craze. this ultimately is a solid 5 because of the community of people still pumping out vast amounts of customs for this game to this day though

In college, Rock Band and Guitar Hero were staples of every party, but I never actually owned Rock Band myself.

I bought a full Rock Band set with 1, 2, 3, and Lego Rock Band in the summer of 2021 to play with the family and it has become my most played series since getting back into video games after a 10 year hiatus mostly because of this specific title.

Rock Band 3 is the closest to perfect rhythm game that has ever been made. The amount of DLC is incredible and has happily cost me hundreds of dollars. The exclusive inclusion of the keyboard that was removed from Rock Band 4 will also insure this REMAINS the best game in the entire series unless Rock Band 5 (which seems like a thing that will never happen) brings it back.

Finished date is based on beating all songs with 4 stars or more on Hard Guitar. The progress tracking on this is great, so I have also beaten 4-starred or better all DLC (I have nearly 200 DLC songs) on Expert Bass and varying difficulties of Keys.

I cannot describe how much I love this game.

played it once at my cousins house. best experience i dont remember of my life

Portions for foxes and Bon Jovi!

tracklist is solid, but this game really gets my love for being the most fun of the 3. best interface and the tracking looks best here too, very easy to parse.
i’ve spent an embarrassing amount of money on DLC lol i love my silly lil rhythm games

with the mods you can just throw on this game, it makes it just one of the most perfect party games to always have ready, i miss this series :'(

I stopped playing but I still have the keyboard. I think I might have some use for it.

I've never played RB4 but this is easily the best of the original three. The only problem? They took out the audience singing along when you play an iconic song well.

Same thing as Rock Band 2, but even better as it introduced Pro mode for the instruments. Being able to play expert pro drums with my electronic drumset connected to my PS3 was an absolute game changer.

5 stars for custom songs alone

spent way too much money on dlc for this... worth it?

there is no other game i've played that i've put more hours into than this one. defined my high school years in a way that i can't really explain
