Even though you had to buy some physical cards (but not ALL - this game was actually pretty generous with rewards) to play this, the pay-to-win paywall was much lower than Hearthstone's and made it the superior card game.

Activision understood this too, and that's why it was swiftly destroyed.

Gameplay was a little slow but had a solid enough foundation to be its own thing. Too bad it shut down before really being able to define itself. The crazy investment in the cards-to-life gimmick was likely its downfall.
