I had no idea so many aspects of the franchise date back all the way to this game. Really impressive for an NES game. Controls were unresponsive at times but that's about it

emily is unlikable. the little drive i had to try and win her over was completely shattered when i found out there isn't even a good ending. most nothing story ever
although i guess if the aim was to replicate that lonely, kind of pathetic feeling of early social media, I suppose it succeeded

it actually starts trying after the chaos that is level 1, pretty good but it's just hard for the sake of being hard
