Skylanders: Trap Team brings a unique twist to the toys-to-life genre by letting you capture villain characters and then play as them. The core gameplay remains enjoyable, with platforming, combat, and puzzles suitable for younger audiences. Trap Team's roster is fantastic, with a mix of wacky new Skylanders and hilarious villain personalities. However, the reliance on buying additional Trap Master figures and traps for full access to content can get expensive, and the story feels a bit uninspired compared to past titles.

The villian mechanic was cool but having 2 types of 'special' skylanders (the dudes with the glass weapons and the traps) meant it was more expensive to have both and i feel limiting the villians by their elements was a miss

You think this is bad? No. You are the most wrong person alive. This game is the backbone of my life. I would love this game more than a first born child. If i could give 1000 stars i could.

The best way to play this: ps4. BEST way to play this: Wii
...
also i have over 180 of the figures just gonna say it.

5☆ - I personally believe this is the peak of Skylanders games. With all previous Skylanders being playable plus new ones, with the villain trap mechanic being extremely creative and fun, with skystones getting me hooked on deckbuilding card games. I find Trap Team to be a game I continuously find myself thinking about even though I haven't played it in nearly 10 years. Trap Team is the reason I want to come back to Skylanders one day, and still hold onto hope that remakes or a new addition to the franchise arrives, because it really is one of my childhood favourites. Nostalgia +1☆.

Mais um dos poucos jogos que nunca cheguei a acabar pelo simples facto de ser extremamente aborrecido e igual aos outros jogos da franquia.

Was kind of getting out of my childhood Skylanders phase when this game came out, but it's still decent. Of the four I've played I'm gonna have to say it's my least favorite.

YES I PLAYED THIS ONE ON THE WII TOO AND IT'S HORRIBLE.
The tower defense mode is actually gret fun, and the trap team gimmick was fun, but the villains weren't that good comparing to the actual skylanders, they could've made much MUCH more with the vilains but it was at this point that the franchise was in a huge decline thanks to activision spiting out one of these every single year

Nightmare mode should not have been like this

Not bad, not as good as the other games. Trapping enemies was cool but they all sucked compared to how they were when you battled them. Still cool tho.

The last good game on the series, given the fact you can play as furry James Hetfield if you have the correct amount of money in your pocket.

YUOU CAN TRASP THE EENENEMEIES?!?!

This was one of my favorite childhood games and I remember trying to get a chaos trap crystal at target as they were always out of stock.

Probabilmente il mio preferito tra tutti gli Skylanders

Low key dropped the ball with this one but it was still kind of fun

My wallet will never recover from this game

Locking content behind even more plastic is bullshit.

This one was pretty good actually

In my opinion this is the best Skylanders game to play, sure it might not have every single Skylander playable like the newest but regardless I still think this is quite fun game especially for a younger audience.

I also think that most the villains have good and different personalities from each other. The designs of the villains and the Skylanders are really good also!

Definitely worth playing if you like the Skylanders franchise

Krypt King’s design has way to much sauce to be exclusively relegated to a baby game that has the Dream friend mechanic from Kirby Star Allies only slower, more situational, and costs 8.99 per character

game was alright but you can play as the evil little man Kaos so ill take it

Now I will admit first hand this is mostly nostalgia bias towards this game as it’s one of the things I loved when I was like 7 or 8

While nowadays I understand the gimmick is a scam with it basically having half the gane be on disc dlc of course when I played this almost a decade ago I wouldn’t have known but the gameplay is mostly fun for what it’s trying to be of course due to it being a game made by activision the on disc dlc stuff is to be expected but at least unlike cod you get a real life item to keep with it

History will look back at Toys to Life video games and see it as a weird attempt at preservation of kids playing with toys at a time when they just wanted to play video games.

Spyro was in the first one . Which i guess is cool, but I came into this series later and when I was already an adult, so it didn't really do much for me.

Perhaps gearing up your little toy and seeing them in game was a fun experience, but for it this game showed me that the genre was not for me.

If you grew up with this series and enjoy it still, all power to you. But for me it was very forgettable.

Yea, I never even finished this one. I was a huge Skylanders kid, but I grew out of the series with this one. 5/10

Trap Team follows the long established tradition of mediocre platforming and combat from the prior games. For what it's worth, it's one of the better games in the series.

Most levels had way too many side objectives which made it super monotonous to play through at many points. There are also a lot of game breaking bugs which basically forced me to restart entire levels
