in the past

I think Sucker Punch just wanted the throw everything in this game for the grand finale. When it works, it's incredible. When it doesn't, it reminds me of Sly 1.

Sly 3 is a ridiculous and non-stop finale to such a fantastic line of 3D platformers. It aims to improve and differentiate itself from Sly 2, but keep the core formula intact. Gone are the formulaic heist, and in return we have some of the most varied missions in the series so far (for better and for worse). The inconsistency can be jarring, but the pure spectacle and charm of the team just putting in the most insane stuff and saying "yeah, this is fun", I have to give them props. The story wasnt as captivating to me, but I loved the concept the team growing, not just in size but in maturity as well. The themes of facing the past really hits, but I couldn't really get invested in the rest of the plot, as much as I did in Sly 2. However it starts strong and ends strong, and all the characters in the game get to really shine in both voice work and impact on the story.

I grew up with the multiplayer of this game, and it was the only Sly cooper game I owned. To think there was a Single Player mode too. Three of them to be exact!

8/10 :)

Italia un po' troppo stereotipata, ma bel terzo capitolo.

Not as good as Sly 2, but still very good. So many fun worlds and missions, but it's a bit bloated with how manu characters you play as and so on.

Nunca consegui fazer o ultimo capitulo porque meu cd tava riscado :(

A very fun game, but the minigames and combat were more annoying than entertaining.

I doubt we ever finished the story, but me and a friend played the two player modes a bunch. I was rockin' at that tank minigame.

Childhood Game Series, Still Holds Up To This Day

need to do longer review but also a masterpiece

unapologetic in how cartoonish it is, love it

I think this game is just as good as Sly 2

On this one they go too hard with adding new gameplay styles - rather than three characters with their own movesets it starts to feel like a minigame collection. Still very breezy and playable but the weakest of the initial trilogy for sure.

Well, that was fantastic.

Loved my time with this one, a much more pleasant experience than Sly 2. The game is streamlined, much less tedious, repetitive and annoying. I see how the lack of collectibles might sting, but I didn't really bother collecting them when they were there, so...

The variety of gameplay styles is fun, though some additions are worse than the others. Particularly the diving missions and the whole pirate shtick, felt a bit out of place.

The story doesn't have the same stakes that Sly 2's or even Sly 1's story had, but it's a nice send-off for the gang and the characterisation is on point, as always.

Yeah, I think Sly 3 is the best in the series. Now I just gotta wait for Sony to rerelease Thieves in Time on PS5 so I can play that one.

Sly 3 was another fun sly game, but by far Sly 2 has to be my favorite. The game didn't really bring many improvements over the second game, but gathering a whole gang of thieves was a fun premise. The gang as always have a great dynamic and the new characters added some charm. The gameplay is more or less the same besides for new minigames/gameplay sections as other characters. The most disappointing thing about the game is the removal of the bottles that were hidden across the levels of Sly 1 and 2 as it made you want to explore all the places you visited in this game that isn't really important. The game was still a good game, despite feeling a bit short compared to the previous entries.

Was more flawed and drawn out in places compared to Sly 2, but still the formula of these games is just really fun and creative, with all the characters still being very lovable.
Ending felt a tad rushed, but it was still decently satisfying

A classic sly cooper experience, great gameplay and writing, with an emotional story and a great set of characters. It falters a bit in the level design, specially compared to its predecessor, but overall is a great end to the trilogy.

Great game. Played this right after 2, which I loved, and this one was also fun.

Liked the initial stage, was eh on the next 2 (australia and holland) and was thinking about dropping the game momentarily. Too much focus on new cast and too many eh missions, some even downright trash.

Game picked up in China for me and then the last 2 areas were phenomenal. Glad we got some focus on the main trio near the end, and a lot of good missions too. These games live and die by their mission quality which is why this game is an 8/10 for me while Sly 2 is a 10/10.

Oh and why the fuck did they downgrade Carmelita's Voice actress?

Probably my favorite of all the ps2 Era mascot platformers

Unfortunately this one fell a tiny bit off the mark for me when I take off the nostalgia goggles. The whole concept of getting a heist team together is pretty satisfying and the fact all the people you recruit are playable is a very good touch, but overall it just falls short of the mark for me for a couple reasons.

The mechanics on the characters outside of the 3 feel super underbaked, and on top of that - they're used pretty sporadically. I'd be a bit more enthused if I could just go around mind controlling the guru in the hub areas, or shoot shit up with the panda king anytime at pleasure, but you can't. theyre capped to certain missions and those in turn just end up being super tedious, as you'll go hours without using a character and than be thrusted in to a mission with them - which again, works well with the story but gameplay wise falls short.

The pluses of this game compared to its predecessors for me are definitely the new mechanics used per level with sly, like the dogfighting, treasure hunting, boat fights. While some of that was tedious, it was not nearly as bad as something like flying Penelope's helicopter

While I didn't despise my time with this game, and overall did enjoy where they took the story and characters - this one really just fell short for me when comparing it to the 2nd game (tbc ill add more one day just cant be bothered rn)

Decent ending - gameplay maybe stretched a bit too thin with all of the extra characters but overall pretty solid.

Another great Sly Cooper game. Unfortunately, I don't really remember much about the game except for the fact that I clearly loved it.

Definitely a fantastic game for me to replay through again. I love how the gameplay from Sly 2 is brought and they redefined it. The disguise mechanic is cool. Humor is great. Graphically it looks slightly better. Animated 2D cutscenes seem to be slightly improved. Story is almost as great as Sly 2's story. I also enjoy the different gameplay mechanics from the other members of the cooper gang. Bossea are also very great. The ending is also very amazing.

For flaws, I feel like Dr. M should've been written better imo. Also I HATE the pirate ship gameplay. The "Dead Man Tell No Tales" episode is good. But I hate the pirate ship gameplay.

Overall, genuinely one of my all time favorite games. Close to being as good as Sly 2. You guys should definitely play this one if you enjoy the other two Sly Cooper games.

I never actually finished this game because I only had the DEMO but it was hella fun when I played it!

Amava esse jogo! sendo honesto, nunca joguei muito o modo história, mas o PVP era absurdo, amava os cenários!

The third entry in the Sly series, a flawed gem that is more ambitious than the first 2 games but doesn't quite reach the same heights.

Favourite story in the series and an opera of fear is my favourite level in maybe any game. Gimmick levels aren’t great tho

Nothing better than turning yourself into a cheese wheel
