I mean… it’s better than the campaign, but that’s not saying much.
It’s only got 3 missions but it’s got its own story and the gameplay passages are better… mostly because they’re shorter.
Just like the base game the ship combat is excellent and the blaster combat is mid. Graphics and music are of course excellent… the narrative is… existent I guess.
Tbh the story and level design isn’t very good, and I don’t care for any of the characters. Overall it’s alright… probably should have just been in the base game though

A free, three level DLC update for Battlefront II's single-player portion that picks up where the main game's heartbreaking cliffhanger of a conclusion left off. Limited to just a trio of stages there's not much this add-on could have hoped to do from a narrative standpoint. Especially since it botches what should have been a big emotional moment by having none of the other characters really react to Del's death. Which kind of hurt to see given how much I grew to love this cast by the time the base story offering had ended.

Resurrection's brief plot does manage to make a little bit of an impact though by successfully concluding Iden Versio's tale completely, rather than leaving her ultimate fate and life after what we got to see while holding the controller up in the air outside of maybe some obscure novel hidden in the far reaches of the EU like so many Star Wars games before it have done. I also appreciated how it broke away from the post-ROTJ, pre-TFA safe space nobody else seems brave enough to stray from these days, while introducing a potential new protagonist and direction for DICE to make use of in further expansions or possibly the next full entry in the Battlefront series.

Plus, I was reminded of just how much I enjoyed the core gameplay. The first stage centered entirely around ship combat is overly long and a bit tedious, but everything that follows is great. The mix of open area ground battles, corridor shootouts, and aerial dogfights is still very entertaining for as long as it lasts.

It's brevity is really the only thing this DLC has working against it, and even that is somewhat offset by the fact that it's free. Inconsequential? Maybe, but hardcore Star Wars fans should still get a kick out of Resurrection provided they actually enjoyed the time they spent with Inferno Squad the first time around. However, even if the single-player part of the package wasn't your cup of tea it's legitimately hard to fault this bonus bit of content too much no matter how miniscule it may be when you consider that the developer isn't asking anything for it.

7/10

A less-than-medicore continuation and conclusion of a mediocre story.

Campaign was actually pretty good

Un epílogo para la campaña de Battlefront II que sabe a poco. Por un lado se entiende, ya que es gratuito, pero por otro da pena que sea tan breve porque te deja con ganas de más. Si te gustó el modo historia es un cierre imprescindible.

it was meh I wish I could say more but I just can't.

As a big Star Wars fan that likes to go through all the canon material, this felt like something that should've been made into a cinematic or whatever. Nothing special or memorable.
