It's the grandfather of video gaming - but much liek the beatles, it has been outdone since many times over, and is only held in such reverence due to its status and legacy. Nevertheless, everyone should play through and experience this classic at least once.

overrated af, hollow knight is much better

An absolute classic. I know most of the shortcuts. Still haven't beaten the ending.

An incredibly fun game! And one of The few NES games that are actually worth playing today.

Whoever though these castle "puzzles", where you randomly have to choose a certain path to progress thorugh the levels was a good idea deserves a good kick in the shin. Brings down the game from 4 stars to 2.

Classic, levels get pretty repetitive after the intial two worlds and Mario controls like he's ice skating but this game's impact cannot be denied, excellent music and iconic graphics (so iconic, Nintendo feels the need to throw SMB Mario's sprite in every Mario game LOL) just obviously dated in the gameplay department, finding out about the warp zone was also a trip as a kid

7/10

- a jogabilidade do game, de eu ter que descobrir o que cada botão e combinação funciona no game;
- as OST;
- A dificuldade do game por ter pouco conteúdo á agregar;

actually sat down and beaten it on the switch, felt gross.
fun classic though!

this is a certified hood classic

I suck massive balls at this game

A fun game to play, nothing more than that. It not uses all the potential of the NES, a mostly shallow game but comprehensive. But i repeat... FUN to play.

Classic mario. Not really my type of game but still got some enjoyment out of it.

Fun little plattaformer, somehow the smoothest part is the water levels

I dont its pretty good. Grandaddy of all platformers holds up pretty well despite being nearly 40 years old.

First time playing a Mario game other than the Mario Kart series. Pretty fun game aside from the last level, which confused the hell out of me. Solid start! I'm currently playing through all of the high-rated NES games for the first time, and I think I still prefer the Ninja Gaiden games so far, but the majority of them have been enjoyable!

Remember those hidden warp zones and secret exits? Man, I loved rushing through this game as a kid! It might not be perfect, but there's something so fun and satisfying about those shortcuts that still makes it a blast.

There's only so much you can say about the game. It's the first Mario platformer. It works great for what it was, and still holds up well.

You have to make concessions for a lot of old games. They're super important and influential, sure, but time is harsh to many of them. So perhaps the most impressive thing about Super Mario Bros. is how playable it is. You can jump around and play Super Mario Bros. and it feels fine and functional. Sure, it's not good. Level design is pretty awful, look at the multiple levels that are just a mostly straight walk to the goal with fish jumping up at you but hey, it works, and it has that instantly iconic quality. Y'know. Mario.
