Basically Ultimate but slower, less characters, and less balanced. Still a great fighting game though.
I have a very nostalgic attachment to this game, and the Wii u in general, being able to make charizard vs bowser be an actual thing was mind blowing to me back then and I’ll never forget what it was like to play a Mario vs sonic match with my younger sibling.
An adventure mode of some kind would have helped this game a lot.
This was fun but wow looking back Ultimate does everything better.
I also played this when I was little. I remember the hype I was in. Just like many other older games, still have tons of memories from it. I still play it with my little sister sometimes.
The memories this game birthed were legendary, I spent so much time playing, the case lost it's spine.

8-player matches were crazy. Smash Tour was alright but as with all the other Smash games I wish there were more modes to play with.

A decent continuation of the SSB series, but a bit lacking compared to previous entries and the gameplay itself feels extremely sluggish. A very good roster, though.
Played on my friend's Wii U several times throughout middle school and high school. I used my 3DS connected to the game as a controller, because my experience with the game was with that version.
