Look... this game is whatever. The swinging is quite unique, left trigger for left hand, right for right hand, it's a pretty cool feature that I kind of wish was in other SM games. The combat is serviceable, but man, Spidey is brutal with his takedowns in this game. Might even be giving Arkham Batman a run for his money.
So obscenely underrated.
This was my childhood Spider-Man game and I still love revisiting it literally just to swing around. They really nailed the web mechanics in this one.
Captures the Webb films very well and does a great job of keeping the tradition that the Raimi games did of adapting the stories of the films while also imagining what characters from the comics that didn't appear in the films would look like in that universe.

I hated this game. Hated it, hated it, HATED IT. I was looking forward to this, since the first Amazing Spider-Man game was a passable attempt at a Spider-Man game, let alone a movie tie-in. Riddled with bugs galore, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is nearly unplayable- I'm shocked I was able to even complete it. My first Xbox One recordings were showcasing texture popping, Spider-Man falling through the map, and the game freezing (and crashing). This game is the definition of "rushed to store shelves," and serves as a painful reminder: Movie tie-in games should be heeded with caution.
