liked more than mega man 5. not a bad game but a little too formulaic at this point in the series. i like the mega man formula but i think it just needed more to make it stand out besides the rush fusions. i did like the rush fusions though. very good graphics for the nes. needs more protoman.
there are some really cool moments from this game and i actually like the robot masters a good bit in this one. (some of the ones in 3 and 4 felt pretty forgettable to me). despite improving so much graphically, i was disappointed by the end scene. it feels like there should have been more. some of the levels had some neat sections, it just feels a little mediocre overall though. the whole "proto man wasnt really the bad guy, it was just dr wily again" thing just feels like a retread of 3 and 4. overall its just ok. not bad, but there are better MM games.
huge improvement for the series. some of the abilities are just straight up improved abilities from mega man 2 (time stopper + leaf/skull shield). the introduction of the charge shot is great too. the only thing that holds it back from being perfect is the pretty forgettable soundtrack. the first three games have pretty great soundtracks and this one just feels a bit lackluster in that area.
