There is a lot of problems with this game, namely the controls are quite bad. It was more easier to complete with a controller though. There is also no way to attack while jumping, which was confusing. Cat also has just 7 lives, but you'd think it would have 9 lives?
The soundtrack is lovely and the art and animations are wonderfully done and amazing to look at. This game is fun mostly and it's definitely worth checking out. Especially if you like platformers and cats.

This game has a nice backstory. The devlopers advocate for animal welfare and part of the profits from this game went into that. But, the game itself was rough. The animations of the cats were fine and I like how the other cat characters are based on famous internet cats. But, unfortunately the controls aren't that great and you slide around alot. The levels are short but feel like they take forever to get through because of how tedious they are, the boss fights are very boring, and the music is very repetative. I can't really reccomend this game at all unfortunately.
A really low substance game, but I can understand the intent behind the developers. The team behind The Purring Quest is an advocate for animal welfare and a portion of the profits go to associations for helping animals. The message is good but the content within is lacking to say the least. Slippery platforming, lots of instant kills, useless collectibles, short levels, unsatisfying combat, lame bosses, and inconsistent mechanics. I can at least give props to the artwork and animations, which are very high quality and had a lot of work put into them. I wouldn't recommend getting this game if you want a substantial and fulfilling experience though. Spend that money on supporting your local animal shelter instead.
