I've made everyone I know play this at least once.

This is a very short game. According to Steam, it only took me 68 minutes to complete. I also didn't even look up any solutions for the puzzles. BUT that is a good thing because it's a testament to the game's INCREDIBLE hint system. Seriously, this is the best hint system I've ever seen in a puzzle game. The hints for certain, more difficult parts, always start out fairly vague so that you're not just simply given the answer. If you're taking even more time to figure out what to do, the hints will get progressively more and more specific. This is fantastic because it encourages you to keep trying for yourself and not google the answer.

For example, a certain part required me to use a key on a fairly small keyhole. I didn't see the keyhole at first, so I was unsure of what to do. The hint told me to simply find a keyhole, so I was made aware that a keyhole was indeed what I should have been looking for, but the game didn't just tell me exactly where it was. They give you just enough information. It's very nifty and other games should take notes!

The puzzles themselves are never too difficult but not too easy either. I enjoyed solving all of them. The biggest thing I didn't like about the game was the ending. It's seriously lame. Spoiler alert (not really): it's just a blank screen basically telling you that "you feel like your journey is over, but it has only just begun." Such a stupid cop-out. Anyway, get this game for a cheap price if you can and enjoy it while it lasts.

I love this game the puzzles are very unique and fun the music is good I just wish it was longer which is probably fixed with the next entry's but I haven't played them yet if you like puzzle games I would definitely check this one out its worth it

Continuing the theme of closed spaces, I couldn’t ignore my beloved series of puzzles. The Room began its journey back in 2012 and to this day continues to give players the pleasure of solving puzzles. The magic of mechanical devices, mysterious messages and mysterious dimensions fascinates us, forcing us to constantly move forward. What will await us in the next room? Only God knows.

Ancient alchemists and modern scientists are similar in many ways. They are united by a manic thirst for knowledge and a constant search for the unknown. Over its thousand-year history, humanity has come a long way, leaving to descendants many esoteric treatises and books that contain forbidden knowledge. Science usually denies the occult nature of things, preferring a more logical and natural model, but still some scientists have a broader view. Unfortunately, our main character was unlucky to encounter just such a person. A man nicknamed "The Master" invites us into his domain to share an unexpected discovery. We, as a man of science, simply cannot ignore the request of our colleague, so we immediately hit the road. Upon arrival, we are greeted by the empty office of the owner of the estate and a strange box on the table. Next to it lies a letter from the Master, in which he greets us and apologizes for not being able to meet his guest as expected. He invites us to pass the time by solving the puzzle with the box until it's time for the meeting. If our hero had known where this visit to the Master would lead him, he would probably have stopped in time. But apparently these events were prepared by fate itself.

As I mentioned earlier, The Room is a logic quest whose elements are intelligently integrated into the environment. We don't need to move around a large game map or collect important data, because everything we need will be in one room. We will have at our disposal an unusual optical device that will allow us to see hidden messages. Our task is to study the objects presented in the premises and look for hidden objects there. Each of them is an important element for solving the puzzle, but in what order to apply them we will have to figure it out ourselves. The game is replete with a variety of puzzles and their forms of implementation, so we definitely won’t have time to get bored. On the other hand, you should not be afraid of the local mysteries, because they are logical and can be quickly studied. The main thing is to have an interest in the gameplay and natural curiosity.

The visuals and sound are top notch here. Medieval motifs that are close to church music play in the speakers, and amazing events unfold before our eyes. Of course, no one promises you that the game will reveal all its secrets and explain the plot, but it is this atmosphere of understatement that in many ways forms a special attitude towards the gameplay. The timing of the quest will not detain us for long, but it will provide a good seed for future parts.

The Room loves theatricality and presents any event with special pathos, but the funniest thing is that it looks organic. The first part of the series will not be able to offer the player a lot of content, but it is still worth attention. No matter how many times I look into these puzzle rooms, I always enjoy the process. My favorite quest, which has not lost its appeal over the years.

Puzzles, escape rooms y además Lovecraftiano.
Recomendado.

Silly little couple hour long puzzle box game

A solid series of puzzle boxes. Strangely felt a little long in the tooth despite being pretty short. I do have a few criticisms, such as on the limited controls and waiting between transitions could be tedious when you're working a puzzle that requires a lot of back and forth. It's quite possible the camera swing takes more time than the action you'll take. Also how much of the game is reduced to just clicking around. MYST was a long long time ago and while this is clearly influenced by it, I don't think it has to succumb to the same problems of inane fiddling. Just a cursor highlight on things that can be interacted with is good enough.
Anyway if they improve on this things in further entries I'll be a lot happier with them.

Perfectly fine puzzle box game.

Quite fun, but nothing special

Puzzle game with decent bones but some of the puzzles enter "adventure game" territory with looking for the right pixel to interact with.

Pretty average puzzle game.
The controls don't feel super great on the PC version, and the puzzles themself aren't anything mindlowing, but these "open the box" puzzles are inherently fun enough to make this game pleasant to play by default.
It looks good, and the atmosphere is gripping despite the soundtrack being comprised of only one theme.
The story, however, may be its weakest point. The premise is alright, albeit a tad generic, but it devolves into nothing interesting and the ending is exceptional for how much an unsatisfying sequel-bait it is.
Overall a somewhat decent time but I don't think I'll ever pick up its sequels.

A fun and balanced puzzle game with interesting lore and good visuals. Puzzles are challenging but the game always helps you if you are struggling, which helps make the difficulty not punishing. A good experience overall, I’m giving it an 8/10.

It’s short but very well designed and polished to a sheen. The visual communication of every puzzle element is occasionally subtle but always very deliberate and ensured that getting stuck came as a result of my own oversight and not obtuseness on the game’s part.
Additionally, the animation, sound, and gameplay of manually turning every key and knob gave it a very satisfyingly tactile feel that I sure want to see more of in games.

cute lil puzzle game to pas the time. I recc playing it with your s/o for maximum fun.

Fun little puzzle game with an eerie feel to it. The way the puzzles play out is pretty amazing to watch too :D

puzzles a bit easy but the clickety-clack is pretty satisfying. Short but decent experience for a very low price
