Gameplay is nothing special, but I really liked the general concept and mystical atmosphere - there are titans and we don't know much else, but here it's a good thing. For a game made by one person - approved

A fascinating game to play because it is full of great ideas - I love how tactile everything is, that you need to flip every switch in your car by hand, that the map is a real physical object you navigate with street signes and compass - but it simply lacks the polish and the budget to pull it off. I hope someone will be inspired by this attempt in the future

Some weird driving/puzzle kind of game inspired by Shadow of the Colossus. Why did I play this?

The definition of pure potential, it's very unpolished and clearly made by one person it's got so much going for it, all of the mechanics are perfectly implamented, the world has a perfect vibe and the pacing has a perfect, calm feel.

I'd love to see this expanded out to longer than 40 minutes with a bigger team, this kind of experience is sorely lacking in the gaming space and I cannot overstate how much I loved so much of this.

A bit janky/unpolished but the sweet/eerie VIBE is immaculate. A perfect use of an hour or so. Quest info including stuff like "the flying whale loves the sound of trains, also she is lovely" is so so so cute. The lack of mechanical complexity or challenge is good and adds to the chillness. If they iterate on this or something, I would immediately jump at it.

I love these vibes, it's simple and obv a little janky sometimes, but it really doesn't have to be much more than that

Really liked the concept, however, the gameplay was kind of meh. The driving was definitely annoying / clunky. Started and told myself to just play without any guides. Played for about an hour or so and made ZERO progress. Got frustrated and quickly bailed on the no walkthrough plan.

To my achievement hunters, if you're looking for a quick / easy 100%, this is your game! I do highly suggest using a walkthrough, otherwise it won't be so quick and easy.

Brilliant concept, but poorly executed, it feels like the environment doesn't loan itself to the concept at all.
I was expecting vast fields to coast through while guiding titanic creatures back to their dwellings, not narrow roads and a car that handles like a tank.

Trollhunter is a found-footage movie that despite not being specially good has a lot of charm to make up for that lack of quality.
I thought titan chaser, being obviously very inspired by that movie, would replicate some of that charm. And it does, but playing it is such a drag that the charm it has is not nearly enough to make me bother putting up with it.

That's alright

It's basically a walking/driving sim where you chase titans and do some activities with them(walk them home)
And it's.... A walking sim. And that's my problem with it, i hate walking sim. So take that into consideration, the game is pretty cool if you are fine with walking
But I do explore new genres and give games chances to see if I will change my mind or something..... And yeah, i still don't like walking sims. So my opinion is coming from this place, the game by itself is awesome, one of the best walking sims I played. So it's not fair for me to criticize this game when my main criticism is the genre. But it's a little rent of mine about walking sims.

The atmosphere is awesome, it's really spooky and cozy at the same time to watch these titans. The sense of scale is also great, titans look amazing. UI in the car is cool and stylish too. I also liked the voice acting quite a bit, it's well-executed & feels cozy.

Now about walking sims. God fucking damn there is no gameplay in them. I'm sorry but I can't care about the story/lore/atmosphere for long enough when I have no gameplay. And no, solving puzzles is not an exciting solution. There is just no fun of controlling the character, you can crouch, jump and run with little to none gameplay integrations with the world. The exploration is just no fun when the only reward is a peace of lore or story, with no upgrades or gameplay changes. IDK i get bored super fucking fast in walking games(let's see what Kojima has made)

I’m only on Backloggd occasionally, so I’m uncertain if the mood has shifted away from calm personal essays that don’t focus too much on the game, but heads up, that’s what this one is. You can relax that tension you’re holding in your shoulders.

I’m between jobs right now, in a manner of speaking. My last day of the job I’ve had for the last six years is this Friday, and my next one starts Tuesday. After a few months of interviewing, I thought this would be a triumphant moment, but honestly, I don’t know what to feel. The people here took a chance on a green-as-grass college grad like me and taught me everything I know, so it doesn’t feel great to leave them behind. On the other hand, I feel like I don’t have a choice, with how the market demands you keep up with skills, and how this office’s days seem somewhat numbered. The new role seems nice and all, but there are some pretty loud whispers that things might get hard for everyone soon, and if that happens, being the newest hire isn’t an enviable position. So, I’m in a weird overlap where I have a firm direction, but I don’t know where I’m actually going, or what any of this is leading to.

That’s something that the protagonist of Titan Chaser and I have in common, I think. You might guess that a game about a freshly-hired colossus wrangler would center on action, but instead, the main focus is on their similarly uncertain internal monologue. They wonder about what’s happening back in the city, what their parents are up to, whether this job should be pursued as a career, all the mundane anxieties one would expect to have in real life, just juxtaposed against the backdrop of safely guiding a giant wyvern down the road with an old car. There’s an obvious absurdity to it, like, how could they be thinking about their apartment arrangement when a dragon is just ten meters overhead? Instead, our protagonist simply gets the job done, while learning (and loving) the car’s functional quirks and musing about the future. It makes them come off as a bit distant at first, but it’s a perspective that has a subtle beauty to it. The car is a little wonky, but that can be appreciated, it’s simply a feature of its nature. The dragon doesn’t need to be worried about if the right process is followed, nature will simply run its course. So, the unusual calmness doesn’t signify detachment, but rather, a presence of understanding. After all, there’s no sense in breathlessly trying to get out of a car all in one motion, you turn off the engine, engage the brake, open the door, get out, and close it. You can’t lead a wyvern home by standing miles away and screaming, you gently guide it point by point. The final step that the protagonist and I need to accept is how you can’t take on the burdens of a lifetime all in one day. You may feel like there’s a dragon overhead, but really… that's ok!

Also, this game was recommended by the lovely Lily, who I hope y'all are already following by this point. Thanks for another good tip!

Good concept + a game from a Russian developer. But don't expect an interesting plot here.

Incredible vibes. I honestly love the tedium of this game: driving your car and operating your spotlight and interacting with the little bits of the world. It's just flipping switches and pushing buttons but something about following a specific order every time was satisfying to my lizard brain. Starting every mission and wondering what sort of giant creature I'd see next was always a treat. I love the little shitbox sedan with a spotlight strapped to the top of it. I love the weird mixtape of chill synth music and old radio plays. I love the dense fog and barely seeing the outline of something massive in the distance. It's a little janky at times (I got my car stuck in a ditch twice) but it's worth putting up with the little bits of weirdness.
