Ngl.....hot take but I genuinely don't think ToF is as bad as most people say, at least not since Vera dropped it's 2nd half of the story. The story was def hot dog shit early on but after the confounding abyss stuff it did start getting interesting, the character designs aren't half bad and the map designs as well as the various overworld & exploration mechanics continued to improve for the better. And surprisingly while the game isn't breaking into probably even the top 50 devs have been treating it with love, making like 10m animated shorts and shit and just continue dishing out content and getting collabs so like.....it's not dying but I will admit it's very hard if not nigh impossible to convince someone of playing ToF in 2024 (luckily I have a few small group of friends who play consistently) but I rarely play only a bit every couple of months but when I do I enjoy it icl
I've played this game on and off for about six months and maybe have 8-10 of game time that wasn't spent in the pause menu while I was away from my controller making supper, so maybe I'm not "qualified" to talk about this game, but I like it. I actually love it.
I can't explain why I love it besides it's just relaxing to play. It's my Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley, if that makes sense. I know it's a gatcha game designed to steal your money because of cute anime boys and girls, but I'm not tempted by that, so just slashing monsters in a field and not playing the main quest is fine for me.
But as I mentioned, I'm not the best at this game and I don't ever play the main quest, I just slash monsters in the field and make my character look cool. I'm not playing for any reason besides to unwind once every other week for 30 minutes.
Does that qualify me to rate this game this highly? I dunno, but I will gladly give this game praise because I like it. Simple as that.

It's not terrible, however the menu could've been done better (some icons are pixelated) and sometimes there's glitches happening randomly, but those usually don't interfere with the gameplay itself and are for the major part visual. I would say it's pretty solid, tons of content, satisfying combat and very calm atmosphere, it's a perfect game to just chill out and forget about reality for some time, don't expect too much more of it though.
The most hollow gacha game I've ever played.
Bad isn't quite the right word to call this game, it's more of a waste of time, an unfruitful experience if you will. It's not even a chore, since at least a chore is something that you have to do. Like if you wash your clothes, you'll have clothes to wear, if you do the dishes, you'll have dishes to eat with. Even watching paint dry is better than this, because you're staring it with the anticipation that it'll eventually dry. You won't get anything more from this game than doing literally anything else.
If you value your time just play something else, something bad, something good, whatever.

Played it for like 25hours when it came out (dunno if it changed now) and this is my take:
- Game is a ripped off from Genshin but they did a good job regard fighting it was good.
- What I didn't like about this game is a lots of servers and each server has its own channels and that makes you feel like you are playing alone all the time

One of the must dull and boring games I've ever played in my life. Tutorial is so long I grew the desire to go touch some grass. Game is such a copy of Genshin Impact it didn't even bother changing the font of the letters... Pure plagiarism in every aspect, everywhere. I personally don't like Genshin but this is absurd. It's even more absurd that sony let this game be on their platform. In the PS5 it performs well, but don't bother on the PS4, it's too laggy and has a lot of frame drops. Feels like a goofy and unfinished game, tutorial doesn't help, again.
