Still gotta finish the chick game

I got this game for free on the ps plus subscription and I rlly enjoyed playing jt on the ps5. But I have played lost legacy and theifs end on ps4 before as their own separate games and they were much better. I found this version was kinda laggy and cutscenes would glitch alot. Also the shooting system was a bit annoying in this game

After not really enjoying the original trilogy all that much, I was really surprised by how much fun I had playing these two. I can appreciate the Nathan Drake collection for its place in gaming history, and they are well made linear action-adventure games with a middle of the road story and so-so characters. These new ones do follow in the originals’ footsteps, but also add so much more to the previously established blueprint, shaking it up just enough to turn it into something truly enjoyable and engaging at all times.

It's more than clear by now that making The Last of Us changed Naughty Dog for the better. Here we have Uncharted with actual character development and real emotional stakes. Nathan Drake has an arc, Sam has an arc, even Elena has an arc. The bad guy is a charismatic and threatening presence. For the first time I can say that an Uncharted story is a delight to play through.

In terms of presentation, it is pretty much unmatched. It still looks gorgeous, nearly photorealistic at times. Character models look great, the animation is dynamic and seemingly limitless in its variations, and the scenery work is outstanding. So many scenic vistas, I can only imagine the work this team put into them.

The overall structure follows the same pre-established mold. Cutscene, some platforming, combat arena, rinse and repeat. It doesn’t innovate in that sense, but what it does is innovate in each individual element of that structure, avoiding completely the tedium that it generated for me in the previous three games. As I said, cutscenes here have weight and are compelling to watch. Platforming isn’t just jumping from handhold to handhold anymore as some additions, especially the new rope, have added a layer of dynamism that was much needed to make these sections enjoyable for a longer gaming experience. And combat is now an even more polished experience, with smarter and more varied enemies, a larger arsenal of weapons, and a completely overhauled stealth option, that while it still isn’t my preferred form of engagement, it has become a very valid approach to combat sequences.

The Lost Legacy keeps everything that makes Uncharted 4 great and condenses it into a shorter and more contained experience, that still makes for some of the best the series has to offer. It can easily stand next to A Thief’s End without feeling overshadowed.

Overall, these two games are some of the best work Naught Dog has ever released, and the best the Uncharted franchise has to offer. I’d even encourage people to avoid the original three and dive into this one as soon as possible.

This collection is great but the main attraction, Uncharted 4, is considerably disappointing to me.

I will start with the game's best aspect though, the presentation. I can't put it into words but the game is just gorgeous from start to finish, and runs excellently too. Character models also look incredible, especially in cutscenes and still hold up very well today, in fact it feels like this is as good as it gets for visuals sometimes, but obviously that's not true.

The story is kinda frustrating sadly. There are some things I like about it, such as the flashback chapters where you play as a younger Nathan, though they don't really feel necessary to the story. A lot of the game revolves around Sam, Nathan's brother, that just shows up out of nowhere for this game. He's okay, I guess? It leads to an interesting story but it just feels so ridiculous and stupid even for this franchise known for just being a playable ridiculous action movie.

While playing I also felt like characters weren't themselves, especially Nathan. I know he's meant to not be a particularly good person but at more than a few points he felt way out of line of who he was meant to be. This is redeemed a bit around the second half of the game when he has to spend a significant amount of time with just Elena, which was a highlight and felt kinda like a trip back to the very first game, for better or worse.
The villains are some of the better characters, but they really could have done with more screen time, though in the case of Nadine this is solved with The Lost Legacy, which I'll get to later.
I will say that the ending is kinda predictable but still sweet, it almost made the whole journey to get there worth it.

I have a lot to say about the gameplay but I'll start with the good. In the Uncharted games, you do a lot of climbing and puzzle solving, and thankfully here it's better than ever. For climbing it's usually very clear where you can and can't go, and the animations are super smooth and satisfying. Overall the amount of deaths tied to climbing related jank are at an all time low with this game, which is a godsend. Two new tools are added, the rope and the Piton, and these are not only fun to use but add some new variety to climbing and the rope can even lead to some very cool moments in combat. The other likeable part is the scripted action setpieces, they are fantastic and just as utterly insane as previous games and really are some of the best parts of the game.

Sadly the biggest problem I faced with the game is that the combat is just awful and not fun. The weapons you use are very forgettable and unsatisfying to fire, and most of them feel incredibly weak. That's one thing, but the main problem is that basically every weapon has a huge spread on it from the moment you fire the first shot. Even if you have your crosshair dead centre over an enemy's head, it's more than likely going to completely miss unless you're very close to them, which is a bad idea. Due to seemingly every weapon having this insane spread, it's honestly just as effective to just blind fire while in cover. I finished the game with an astonishing 37% shot accuracy because of this. Genuinely what were they thinking?

This wouldn't be so bad if your enemies also had stormtrooper aim but they don't, in fact they annihilate you very quickly and hit shots from miles away. They also throw grenades if you dare sit still for more than 5 seconds and once you reach the halfway point of the game it feels like every other enemy has body armour which can only really be dealt with up close, but if they're also up close to you then you're very likely screwed. To be fair to it, the game encourages you to use very crude stealth to take care of enemies but it feels honestly pointless as a lot of the environments in the game don't adequately allow for it and it just feels like pure luck whether or not you'll be able to take anyone out. And once again, if the enemy has body armour, it makes it nigh impossible to take care of them in stealth. Due to all of this nightmarish regression of combat, I genuinely struggled at some points playing on the Moderate difficulty, and I say this as someone who beat Uncharted 1 & 3 on Crushing, and Uncharted 2 on Hard. If you play this honestly go on Light or Explorer and don't look back.

Overall Uncharted 4, while visually stunning is just disappointing and a step back from the previous games which doesn't make sense.

Thankfully The Lost Legacy exists, and while it is short and the story is kinda forgettable, and obviously has the same combat problems as Uncharted 4, it honestly felt a little better than the main game, and I don't actually know why.

It could be the fact you play as Chloe instead of Nathan which feels very refreshing, or it could be the fact that the story features a lot less characters and therefore you get a chance to breathe as the story is on a smaller scale, even if the story isn't that great. You also spend pretty much the whole game with Nadine at your side, and I really appreciate her having more screen time.

It does sort of feel like the whole thing is just meant to be a nostalgia trip back to Uncharted 2, with Chloe being the focus of the story and one of the biggest setpieces of the game taking place on a train, but I can't necessarily fault it for that since 2 was an utterly fantastic game.

I don't think I can really say much about The Lost Legacy, it's just a short but slightly more enjoyable version of 4 albeit with a worse story, and it's addition definitely makes this collection far better.

Speaking of this collection, how is it? Very good, at least on PC. I'm not very familiar with the PS4 original so I'm not sure how much of the visuals are an improvement from 2016, but it looks fantastic here and scales well to a lower end device like the Steam Deck. Keyboard and mouse controls, while explicitly not recommended, feel completely fine after fine tuning the sensitivity. I didn't have any technical issues but I hear a lot of complaints about crashing so it might not be a great port for everyone. Though for PC specifically I have to say the audience for this port has to be quite small, as 4 really needs you to have played the previous games to really let the story have any impact, and the previous games were only ever on PS3 and 4. And if you had a PS4, you may as well have just played it all the way back in 2016.

Overall, good port but the game is just a step back in many regards which is a real shame. It looks real nice though, I'll give it that.

All-timer. All of the masterful storytelling and impressive game design of The Last of Us but without all the misery. It’s a shame Druckmann’s not interested in doing more with these characters though I respect the decision to leave it alone. A Thief’s End is as perfect a finale as you could ask for, but for my own selfish reasons let’s hope those rumors about a Sony-led, Naughty Dog-assisted Uncharted spinoff turn out to be true. Lost Legacy is clear proof that this series could still dazzle if handled carefully.

bought this and got free tickets to ucharted movie! Lost legacy was best part of the deal, i didnt expect that best scene of all franchise will be in a dlc (im talking about train with car jumping of course)

Uncharted is always one of my favorite series and this is another great chance to experience it.

How I played 4 and lost legacy so it’s an easy 10/10. Probably best way to play the games.

It's definitely good but honestly.......I still prefer Tomb Raider.

When comparing Uncharted and Naughty Dog to something like the latest TR series, Nathan Drake and his adventure should have the edge from a storytelling standpoint. And maybe they do, but not by any huge margin. To make up for the gameplay being largely inferior to TR imo, I would expect a much more compelling, engaging, and well written story. A certain other Naughty Dog game comes to mind that really makes it clear how much Uncharted is lacking here. The best part of the game was the section with Nathan and Elena discussing the issue of his lie to her while moving through the jungle. I feel like this game was a huge missed opportunity to spend more time not only realistically working through a resolution to that, but exploring the two's relationship as a couple and how they work in a typical Uncharted adventure. The tone throughout the game always felt comedic, never really taking itself seriously. All things considered, the game is still obviously well made and somewhat fun, just not nearly as much as I was hoping for.

Bonus points for the accompanying game actually being decent by Uncharted standards and did not just feel like a cheap knock off like so many one-off extra games do.

Bizarro pensar que até pouco tempo atrás nós nunca teríamos os jogos da Sony em outras plataformas ou até mesmo nos computadores. Sabendo disso, existiram diversos jogos da geração PS4/PS5 que deixei de jogar e Uncharted 4 é um deles. Sempre foi um jogo que sempre tive a curiosidade de jogar por ter jogado todos os anteriores e agora no ano de 2024 me surgiu uma oportunidade de finalmente testar, jogar e zerar através do Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.

A coleção traz dois títulos da série para o PC. O primeiro é Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, o último jogo da série estrelado pelo Nathan. Ambientado anos após Uncharted 3, Uncharted 4 tem Nathan deixando para trás seus dias de caça ao tesouro e se estabelecendo com sua companheira da série, Elena. Não demora muito para que ele se encontre com Sam, seu irmão distante que ele pensava estar morto. O dever com a família e a promessa de recuperar um tesouro perdido de Henry Avery levam Nathan a embarcar em mais uma última aventura.

O segundo jogo da coleção é The Lost Legacy, um spin-off que se concentra em alguns dos personagens secundários da série. Você assume o papel de Chloe, uma ladra aventureira, que está em busca de um artefato valioso para o povo hindu e um tesouro que está sendo caçado por Asaf, um senhor da guerra que quer iniciar uma guerra civil em nome da limpeza étnica. Ajudando você em sua expedição está Nadine Ross, uma das antagonistas de Uncharted 4 que perdeu o controle de sua empresa militar privada e está tentando recuperá-la usando essa expedição.

Em termos de enredo, o tom de cada jogo é bem único e diferente um do outro. Em The Lost Legacy, a gente tem um tom muito parecido com o que a gente vê em jogos anteriores da franquia, enquanto em Uncharted 4 ele também segue um pouco de muito do que Nathan já tem de jogos passados em personalidade como as piadas constantes, porém ele também tenta puxar muito mais um tom de ação e consequência e a gente consegue ver isso perfeitamente refletindo no próprio Nathan, onde ele basicamente constantemente se pergunta se está fazendo a coisa certa ou se o estilo de vida ainda é para ele.

Na maior parte, ambos os jogos são praticamente idênticos em termos de jogabilidade. Para ambos os jogos, a atração principal vem das grandes sequências de ação, como uma perseguição de jipe por uma cidade lotada ou uma perseguição pelos telhados onde você foge dos soldados. É igualmente emocionante usar seu gancho de escalada para balançar sobre abismos e agarrar-se a uma beirada no último momento possível. Apesar de eu achar tudo muito maravilhoso aqui, eu sinceramente não gostei muito da jogabilidade do game, toda a combinação em suas jogabilidades em momentos de ação, momentos de andar enquanto observa um cenário lindo me parece muito mais um filme de ação do que propriamente um game, o ritmo principalmente em Uncharted 4 tem muito essa vibe para mim.

Falando em ação, ambos os jogos fazem uso também além dos tiroteios a furtividade. Que na minha opinião é outro ponto que me deixou um pouco a desejar ele não é exatamente divertido na sua jogabilidade mas com certeza ela é muito funcional. Além do tiroteio, você pode optar por usar o combate corpo a corpo que casa muito bem com o furtivo, que por falar nisso o furtivo é bem básico, não existem muitos elementos para distrair inimigos ou esconder corpos.

Um ponto que me fez gostar muito mais de Lost Legacy se comparado com o quarto game foi em relação à sua construção de mundo. Uncharted 4 ele te dá uma falsa impressão que o game é um game mundo aberto e te dá mil e uma liberdades para fazer o que quiser em suas fases, isso deve principalmente ao fato de como essas fases são apresentadas que é com muita maestria e grandeza, um grande exemplo disso é a fase de Madagascar onde logo no início da fase com você dirigindo uma 4x4 a sensação é que você pode explorar tudo livremente porém isso é uma falsa impressão já que o game na realidade ele é um semi-lineares. Já o Lost Legacy apesar de mais curto ele funciona de maneira completamente contrária ao jogo sequência dando a você muito mais liberdade em comparação;

Graficamente, ambos os jogos são uma das coisas mais lindas que a Naughty Dog fez, quando eu testei o game lá no lançamento nos PCs eu senti uma falta de otimização ferrada porém hoje em dia o game roda perfeitamente bem e não preciso nem dizer que o game é maravilhosamente lindo.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection para PC é uma baita introdução à série Uncharted. Apesar de ser o quarto jogo da série e um spin-off, você consegue jogar muito bem sem compromisso e sem saber nada dos games anteriores, existem algumas referências a games anteriores porém o game funciona muito na maneira de contar a história a ponto de ser acessível para todos, claramente é um jogão e mais do que recomendado por mim.

It's not very well optimized on PC. On the other hand, the game is really completely linear, there's no replayability and if you watch a video about the game, it's like you've played the game because the things to do are always the same. On PS, if you didn't get nostalgic for the Uncharted series years ago, it's not going to make much meaning for you now when you play it for the first time on PC. What makes the boring pace of the game even worse is that there are always hidden things to find and puzzles to solve.

I did not play the previous games, but holy hell this game and its story is top notch in every way POSSIBLE

Um port razoável, e todos os jogos são o que esperamos de Uncharted, um jogo sessão da tarde que vai entreter.

Só zerei o Uncharted 4 da coleção, e meu deus, esse jogo é muito bom, para mim ele denorou um pouco para me fisgar no começo, mas quando me fisgou, que história incrível, eu infelizmente fiquei um pouco perdido na história no começo por não ter jogado os 3 jogos antigos, mas ainda assim entendi a história e gistei dos personagens, o nathan drake é carismático e me fez ter vontade de jogar os outros 3, os graficos do jogo são lindos e a gameplay e os momentos de ação são fantásticos, sem cintar a história desse jogo que é muito boa, apenas achei que tem pouco puzzle, mas isso é de menos.

One of the greatest gaming experiences I've had. The story of mostly the main game but also the DLC was so good. I had absolutely no idea Sam was lying. Having a game show you a fake cutscene to lie to the player is absolutely genius. Moments like that blew my mind.

The gameplay is on a completely different level of polish. Every element, yes even the climbing, feels absolutely perfect. Who ever thought of having jeep platforming? Genius.

And the set pieces. Oh my god the setpieces. So many amazing missions in this game it's unbelievable. I wasn't totally sold on the DLC until that last mission with the train that got me whooping and hollering. Never have I went "woaahh!" so many times when playing something. One of my new favorite games ever.

It makes you truly wonder what made the Uncharted trilogy great, when the send off of Nathan Drake becomes such a mess when it comes to understanding your own IP.

Naughty Dog did a phenomenal job when they wanted to create their own take on Indiana Jones with the gameplay of Tomb Raider sparkled in, and when I played those games, I slowly began to realize, that despite being an action-adventure title, they were always about mystery and wonder, the discovery of ancient things. These games were gradiually becoming more and more action oriented, but they always had these subtle moments where characters needed to understand each other more, in order to progress forward as a team. Drake and Sully, or even Drake and Elena both had great dialogue, and the fact that they even Chloe as a mainstay was awesome. In fact, both of the girls were greatly written, and had really enjoyable character arcs.

So, here comes Uncharted 4, three years after The Last of Us and sadly, it shows how much of an influence that game was for Uncharted, as the writing gets so incredibly frustrating without any reason, that I cannot believe some people state, that this is the best game in the franchise.

Just to show the earliest example: The game opens with a flashforward, only to continue with a flashback, to show an another flashback, and then it is almost in chronological order. Do not even start with Sam, the most idiotically written character for this franchise, as the just comes out of nowhere, never mentioned before (for story reasons), and when he comes back, he seems like the guy who actually made Nathan the way he is. Every major thing is thrown out of the window, to tell a tale, that is not suited for this franchise, and needed probably it's own separate thing to begin with. There is nothing wrong with introducing the style of the Last of Us, that game is really good (I am replaying it currently), but the Uncharted games needs to show an alternative option for raiding tombs, fighting against mythological creatures and being in a whimsical adventure.

The gameplay also suffers a lot, because of the change in writing. They needed to implement overly long sections of climbing where the characters talk about nothing, they just yapping about stuff, and almost every one of them is the same characterwise, while Nathan is the one that sticks out. Weird.

Let me tell you though, this game has some decently made, even great sequences that I really enjoyed. Weirdly, I found the convoy section a bit janky, the game made me redo it 2 times because Nathan got stuck. What I liked the most was the driving section in Madagascar, simply because the driving was fun and engaging, and some of the setpieces were okay and that is it.

Still, my rating reflects my respect towards Naughty Dog, because I really like their games, I really do, just please, if you revisit Uncharted again, do the things that made him famous in the first place.

Although i only played among thieves i think, enjoyed it very much. Gonna play the other one too at some point most likely

Simplesmente o suprassumo da aventura linear, o jogo consegue não te deixar entediado mesmo com uma história relativamente boba, conseguiu pegar os pontos positivos dos anteriores e melhorados e quase todos os pontos negativos e minimizá-los. Esse é o mais próximo que um jogo pode chegar da experiência de ver um filme de aventura com a família toda na sessão da tarde durante a sua infância.
