Comenze a jugar esto por las monas y me quede por el gameplay.

it doesn't have donovan in it :(

one of the best fighting games but it makes me look like a pervert bc my two mains are bb hood and lilith. apologies to god in heaven for that one

Aside from its inspired designs and animations, Vampire Savior's acrobatic movement and fiercely unique roster (and mechanics) feel like a quantum leap from Street Fighter II. The Tex Avery-meets-Universal Monsters anime art style is unparalleled.

NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE If I get more matches on it more maybe even a 5 ngl

This game is the main reason I modded my Saturn international so I could play this game with the 4MB cartridge. Beautiful, fun game.

The perfect Darkstalkers iteration. Effortlessly weaves combos, over the top specials, and Darkstalkers' iconic, idiosyncratic animation style in a fashion that teaches you its mechanics better than most fighting games even bother to. The combos I've been able to do as Jon Talbain are a thing of beauty.

Probably my favourite fighting game

This it, the fastest fighting game out there, nothing out there is going to get your heart beating as fast.

Oh hey, the final Darkstalkers game! This should be a slam dunk, right?

Well, as far as this game is concerned, it is! They had to cut a couple characters to fit within the restrictions of the CPSII board, but the gameplay improvements and the brand new characters more than make up for it.

The new super modes that the characters can enter, as well as every characters getting brand new moves, and the dynamic round system makes this Darkstalkers one of the more unique 2D fighters of the era. Too bad the updates to this game are a complete mess.

So you want to play as the characters Night Warriors/Vampire Hunter? Okay, play the updated Vampire Hunter 2 game which is just the cast of Vampire Hunter inside of Darkstalkers 3. What if you still want to play as some of the new characters from Darkstalkers 3 then? Well, you have Vampire Savior 2, which is the same game with the gameplay tweaks that that Hunter 2 added, with 3 less popular characters from Savior 1 removed in place of adding back the new characters from Darkstalkers 3, but keeps the cut characters from Darkstalkers 2.

Sounds confusing? That's because it is. What this all boils down to is that you basically end up with three separate versions of the same game with a slightly different roster with specific characters cut out of each version to make some space for other characters.

If they could have just moved this game to the CPS3 Board, it would have solved a lot of headaches for the team, and the players. As it is, even with how awesome Darkstalkers 3 is on it's own, the truncated cast feels like a glaring blemish on an otherwise fantastic game.

Easily one of the best looking games of 1997. Spritework is superb, arguably rivals the likes of the CPSIII games despite running on weaker hardware. Also just a cool vibe.

The mechanics are fun. I'm not like some sweaty FGC nerd but it does seem very smooth to play, handles similarly to 3rd strike albeit maybe not quiiiiite as smooth as that game.

like the rest of capcom games: half of the characters are unplayable, and the others are lot of fun

*Capcom fighting collection

this one is kinda great! At difficulty setting 1/8 on the collection menu settings it has a nice consistent arch through to the final boss, not tough as nails but also not completely brain dead. Gameplay feels very sharp, great animation and art direction. Could see bumping this one to a 4 as I play through with each character.

Darkstalkers have the coolest character designs ever, and the gameplay is always a blast.

i would love to really learn this some day

Your favorite Fighting Game Devs' favorite Fighting Game.

I was never able to get into this game's particular brand of jank but it's still fun to pick up now and then. Peak capcom roster with crazy fun moves.
