An excellent cook 'em up with a heartfelt story. Superb sizzling sound effects when you cook.

Un juego muy sencillo que sin embargo hace a la perfección todo lo que debería. Cuenta una historia emocional, personal y significativa.

lindíssimo, chorei. recomendo muito a experiência

Would have been better as a boring 5 min pixar short

This game just wasn't for me I tried to enjoy it but i just can't seem to do it the artstyle was ok didn't really impress me, soundtrack was ok the puzzles were ok nothing really to interesting

A precious little visual novel with a pleasant art style and a fun cooking minigame that shows the struggles of migrants and emphasizes the value of nurturing your roots.

the story was so moving, the gameplay was really enjoyable, and everything was beautiful. and i learned some things about tamil cooking :') the text scenes were some of my favourites. i only wish the game and story were longer!

Curto, charmoso, bonito, emocionante... Venba é especial.

jogo fofinho com arte e história legal

Venba is well-written, and speaks to something meaningfully important, but I feel like I've already played this exact video game thirty-plus times over the past decade

A quick but charming indie game.

Well this was a breezy, bittersweet and good looking and sounding as everyone made it seem.

i don't know if i can accurately sum up how venba makes me feel so i will just say this:

game that makes you want to hug your immigrant mother

Venba has such a distinct style. Seems almost like pointillism, with the edges especially having this dotted appearance.

The themes are surprisingly hard-hitting. Themes of maintaining cultures and identity (especially in a foreign and monolithic country). Canada is more of a mixing pot than most countries, but still, emigrants face varying levels of discrimination and trepidation. This is felt more acutely in school, where no one wants to stand out. There is a scene involving violence against a family member that isn't explained fully. I wish that scene was fleshed out more. They might have shied away from showing that scene fully because of its mature tone.

The gameplay was puzzle-based cooking. The puzzles were well designed and satisfyingly challenging. Nothing brain-melting, but fun. I was hankering for some Indian food after seeing all these delicious concotions. The music was fantastic and upbeat as well and kept the puzzle gameplay feeling lively.

If there was one thing this game was missing, it's voice acting. All in all an amazing bite-sized experience that tells an affecting story accompanied by fun and perfectly challenging puzzle gameplay.

I am very bad at cooking so i had to use a lot of hints also i found this game a little bit depressing still it has a nice art style if you want to to cry and like cooking you might give this one a chance. It is also very short can be finished in one day

i feel like this game is not for me but i still felt good playing it. im not a cook, story doesnt speak to me either

Estória de uma família de imigrantes que vivem no canada. Mostra os momentos mais marcantes de vida deles, consegue cativar mesmo sendo muito curto. As trilha sonora é bem diferente.

This is a really cute and well done game, relaxing but at the same time "tragic". A great story with a beautiful art style and an impressive soundtrack too

This game made my cry. As a parent it really pulled at a few things in me. It also opened my eyes to a lot of the struggles that immigrant families have that I haven’t never experienced. This is a short 1.5 hour game I recommend everyone to check out.

Loved the story
Wish it was longer

“Venba” is a charming narrative-driven game that beautifully intertwines the art of Tamil Indian cooking with touching storytelling. As players guide Venba, a mother preserving her culinary heritage, they’ll encounter intuitive puzzles that are as thoughtful as they are fun. The game’s vibrant art and soulful music create an immersive experience that celebrates family, culture, and the joy of cooking. A delightful gem that’s sure to warm your heart and tantalize your taste buds.

Stunning story with great cooking gameplay. An absolute must play.

this game actually nearly made me cry, genuinely so emotional and heartbreaking godddd
WAS a bit frustrating sometimes figuring recipes out, but mightve just been me being a dumbass

A experiência tátil de realizar as receitas torna uma história que poderia ser simples demais em algo marcante e memorável.
