The presentation is not quite as charming as its inspiration Picross 3D, but it'll do in a pinch.

For an entire like, 2 weeks, I played this game for like 6 hours a day. It's my favorite type of puzzle genre, that being 'slowly work towards the main goal by solving these smaller puzzles'.

Picross 3D but on PC, however this doesn't hold up to the polish and charm of the Nintendo published games.

Features an absolutely terrible tutorial that struggles to explain even the most basic of mechanics, and controls that need another pass. Often I'll find myself adding random blocks in an attempt to rotate the puzzle or mark blocks at obtuse angles.

For the price it's a fair clone, workshop integration is ace and the dioramas are a neat idea.

Stumbled across this recently and was amazed that a spiritual successor or even a game similar to Picross 3D exists. Unfortunately though it's not nearly as good in polish, design or control. This game feels incredibly awkward to play, I constantly will be miss-clicking and adding a block to the wrong spot or whenever I'm trying to move the camera. Beyond that, it's either way too easy or way too hard depending on your settings. With the default settings, you're given little to no penalizations for mistakes, so puzzles can be completed much quicker and are vastly less fun or satisfying as a result. Making a mistake will generally tell you exactly what block you're meant to chip off, and you can disable the extra hints, but that leads to a whole other problem. I toggled my settings and tried solving a puzzle only to find that at the end I had done something wrong. In Picross 3D, this wasn't so much a problem because you couldn't add blocks back, but also if you had made enough mistakes to have to restart the puzzle, you can learn from them and try something different next time. Voxelgram is a 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 more casual oriented game than Picross 3D, to a point where it's less gratifying and enjoyable. It's neat that it has workshop functionality, but I feel no draw to come back to this game as compared to the addictive nature of Picross 3D.

Mmmm picross....Picross 3D even. It's pretty neat having picross 3D on PC and it works well for the most part but accidentally adding a block when I'm trying to rotate can be annoying. I quite like the dioramas and the workshop is cool but I wasn't really interested in most of them so I just did the mario one because I'm a VIDEO GAYMER of course. I'm not quite convinced that every single puzzle can be solved without guessing but I think that's just because it's hard to glean information from just the number of blocks and amount of spaces sometimes. I do prefer the way Picross 3D does it but this was an interesting variation at least and it did sate my picross thirst for now.
