If littleflamedude hadn’t bought this, there was no chance I would have ever done this to myself. I got the platinum trophy, but at what cost? This is the definition of a soulless cash grab.
League of Super-Pets has the player taking over the role of Krypto or Ace, Batman’s dog. They fly through levels in a corridor shooter taking down Lexbots, and tackling enemies. This is a tie-in with the movie of the same name. It’s a simple shooter with the idea of simply flying through the level and taking down enemies. There’s a scoring system, a couple of subgames, and leveling up different skills.
The downside is it’s made for kids. There’s no difficulty here. The levels all look the same with each area getting a small facelift, and the enemies aren’t that interesting. The game though feels oddly cheap in weird ways. There’s not even a main menu, you’re just thrown into the map, and most of the games almost feel like it plays itself. Nothing that awful, but it does feel like a developer dashed this off over a weekend. Maybe this was a rushed development, but if so it shows.
Pick this up if you have a kid and like League of Super-Pets, or you want achievements. You can easily get all achievements here in 3 hours if you can stomach this game. But overall this is made for kids, and that’s understandable, however, there are better games for children. I didn’t hate this though.

What you play when you're sick...Without knowing the movie I downloaded this game from Gamepass and basically got what I expected. DC League of Superpets is a repetitive action shooter clearly aimed at children. The gameplay is very simple, the story easy to follow. And yet, I wonder why kids are always served such uncreative games with far too few ideas and far too many bugs that disrupt the overall gameplay flow.
After finishing the game, I also watched the movie and feel that the story world and elements of the game, especially the characters, are not very well done. The main thing is to name characters and create recognition on the simplest level...too bad.

This game works and I didn't experience any game breaking bugs or glitches, but for only a 3-4 hour game, it sure does get extremely tedious and repetitive after 3 levels. Also pro tip, avoid playing as Krypto at all costs. He sucks ass. His attacks feel like they do half the damage of Ace's and also his special attack doesn't come close to being as good as Ace's either. The games UI is also set up and looks like a free 2 play mobile game. If I didn't know any better they could have just made this a Subway Surfers style endless runner. The final boss is also the easiest of the 3 bosses in the game, and the worst part is that when you beat the game you don't even get credits. You just a text cutscene and then sent back to the map screen! You have to go into the options and choose to watch the credits manually. If you're looking for a quick and dirty platinum, I guess this is fine, but aside from that, unless you really want to throw yourself into the licensed game slop like me, I would recommend staying away from this game.
