Usually every battle pass has 1 cool skin and 1 lame skin, this took a middle ground made all the skins mid

terrible battle-pass, map update and loot pool changes.

WHERE IS KLOMBO!!!!

Was hype for the loot pool at launch but it's a little strange in reality. Im liking the augments and I like the jungle biome. The flowers are fun.

5 stars for optimus prime (the goat)

Fun battle royale, i've met pretty cool people there

Enjoying the weaponry overall this season with a few seemingly Predator-inspired items like a heat signature based sniper and a cloaking pickup. The jungle setting in the new locations is reasonably fun, with some temples to explore. It's cool that they've repurposed to the grind rails idea into vine surfing just like Tarzan for traversal in these sections. I never have any idea what's going on in the Fortnite lore and this season has me confused as ever but I'm happy to run the Aura quests. I do wish they had a couple more traversal items, maybe because last season spoiled us with the katana and ODM gear and then web shooters.

The BattlePass is pretty standard Fortnite without a lot of standouts. It's nice that they have their big IP character with Optimus Prime at the end (weirdly shrunk down so he can fit into the standard Fortnite character model of course) though there are definitely some lulls in the unlocks. A couple of my friends skipped this Battle Pass to save V-bucks which is understandable.

Always good to see Fortnite still going strong.

this shit ass boy 😭😭

There was nothing on this season wow, still fun but nothing amazing

This season was fun for a bit and i even thought about getting to level 200 on the BP but it pissed me off with the fact it took away the boomerang. Never nerfed the most powerful drum shotgun and only removed the fun ones. Didn't even add the pistol on the loading screen till further in.

Hope next season does better.

took out all the fun movement options and added a bunch of verticality with a jungle biome??

Wrapped up the basic pass and do not care to continue the rest of the season. Had a lot of promise with its hype announcement trailer but its bland items and the raptors losing their luster as fast as they got it makes this season drag. I'm too invested in the whole grind economy in this game to drop it over one poor season but I won't hang around much longer if the updates are going to be this "meh."

Let me tell you a story.

This was the first season I got the battle pass for with v-bucks I just got by playing for free. I finished it and got all the skins and whatever (the one that looks kinda like Bjork being the only one I really like) and the extra v-bucks for whatever cool things came up.

But then my brother keeps pestering me to gift him an emote. I tell him to fuck off at first but he annoys me enough and says he'll buy me the next battle pass if I get it. Fuck it, it's a profit. I'll do it.

Then the Jujutsu Kaisen collab happens, and I'm several v-bucks short of the temp battle pass with Yuji, which I could have bought no problem if I just maintained my position of 'get fucked bro' and because of FOMO and Epics temporary skin bullshit I caved and spent 7 euro on this game.

Moral of the story is don't be nice to your siblings.

With the Tilted Towers gone, we cannot return life to our planet. And fate has yielded its reward: a new map to call home. We live among its people now, hiding in plain sight, but watching over them in secret, waiting, protecting. I have witnessed their capacity for cranking 90s, and though we are worlds apart, like us, there's more to them than meets the eye. I am Optimus Prime, and I send this message to any surviving Autobots taking refuge among the Fortnite Island. We are here. We are waiting.

kind of boring but i still come back to all of these and play with friends lmao

5/5 when I'm using the broken shit 0/5 when it's used against me

Review made as the season came out:
I do not care for the Battle Pass which is unfortunate since that's usually the main motivator to play. I do, however, really like the new map changes. The forest is fun to explore and replaced almost nothing value. I do miss Anvil Square but the rest was just empty space.

Review made after the season ended:
The new map section is nice although I felt the battle pass and new items were very lackluster compared to other recent seasons. Worst recent season.

this season is ok but i'm gonna switch the review to half a star if they don't give me the bleach collab next month

edit: there was no bleach collab

edit 2: nvm thank you donald for the jujutsu kaisen collab

Those bomb flowers making me understand Al Qaeda more and more

Bog standard season, Nothing to special. I quite like the new weapons and the jungle is a pretty cool map area. Battle pass is mid and I haven't played much of it

Donald Mustard only gets the good collabs when the season gameplay is dogshit

im starting to think this entire chapter is a lost cause
roll it back to chapter 3, we had a good thing goin there

This season takes all the fun stuff out of the last one and adds shitty weapons and locations! Not even collaborations can save this from being dogwater to play. Maybe if they removed drum shotguns, floating islands, reverted the grenade nerfs and brought back katanas this season would be a little less crappy.

Pass is hot garbage, I really do not care for Epic continuing the stupid mini-pass crap with their collabs, and I just don't like the jungle area. It's far too big and same-y looking, and every single match ends up in there rather than having a balance across the different biomes and locations from the last two seasons. There's also just too much frustration with the balance of weapons this time around and a focus on verticality in a game whose gunplay is far too reliant on reactions and location awareness to make it feel rewarding and fair. Praying that the next season wipes a big chunk out of the jungle area because they turned what was once a well thought out balanced map into a boring slog.

Now that we are reaching the end of the season,i thought i could write down my feelings about it in a review like document. And i have to say that, sadly,Chapter 4 Season 3 is exactly what i expected. But let’s not get ahed of ourselves.

GAMEPLAY AND MAP CHANGES

To start with,i think the start of this season was actually pretty solid. The newly added weapons like the Flapjack Rifle and the Thermal DMR are really fun to use, even though the Flapjack is kinda forgettable, since it doesn’t do much to distinguish itself from other assault rifles.I have way better feelings towards the Thermal DMR,which i feel much more comfortable with compared to the other two DMRs (i don’t really know why,it just feels easier to hit your shots with it).The Cybetron Cannon too feels pretty balanced overall.Sadly,i’m not the biggest fan of the Kinetic Boomerang,it just feels like a pretty big downgrade coming from the other two kinetic weapons.Same thing applies to the Wasps, that are mostly pretty useless items.Without going into too much detail about all the items added throughout the season,i think this season had a pretty solid lootpool overall, even though some items like the Grapple Gloves were not necessary (since i think that the slower paced gameplay of this season was actually a pretty nice change coming from the extremely mobile meta of the last season) and the recently added Hollow Purple is just way too overpowered.I have give props to the dev team for the new augments especially, which are way more useful than the ones from last season and are also way more fun to combine with one another.Sadly, the gameplay also has one major problem, and it’s that most of the weapons if this seasons are very similar to already existing weapons (for example, the Mk-Alpha is just a slightly different version of the Mk-7,the Cloak Gauntlets are a straight-up reskin of Predator’s cloaking device, the Explosive Repeater rifle feels way to similar to the Lever Action Rifle ecc.). Passing onto another topic,i actually really like the map changes this season. The jungle biome transformed a pretty empty and boring central part of the map into a gorgeous place filled with deep vegetation, that makes it a perfect biome for Zero Builds, and most importantly, littered with really fun mechanics like the mud and the jungle vines. Both of these are really fun to use, especially the mud, that if used correctly can make you reach insane speeds. There’s also the Bomb,Stink and Slurp flowers but honestly,i think only the Slurp Flower is useful, while the two other ones are way too situational for them to be a reliable weapon.

BATTLE PASS

This is probably going to be the shortest section of my review.Too keep it short, this is sadly another battle pass where 7 out of the 9 skins feel like they’ve been picked casually out of a survey without much of a care whenever they fit with the theme of the season. Only Lorenzo and Relik feel like they’re connected to the theme of the season, while all the other ones feel really out of place. The skins aren’t bad per se,but they’re placement in this battle pass feels really random.

MISCELLANEOUS THINGS
In this section i’ll talk about other things regarding the season that i couldn’t really fit somewhere else.To start with, this season’s summer event is easily the worst one yet.Only having two unvaulted items and spraying some rocks in the jungle is genuinely the bare minimum Epic could do.It didn’t even feel like a summer event, just some random content that could’ve been added in an hotfix.Talking about updates, sadly this season has the same problem that is plaguing Chapter 4 since it’s very beginning, that being the minimal content that the updates bring to the table.I do think that it’s not as pronounced as the last season,as it had a decent amount of weapons and items added after launch (even though,as i said before, most of them are way too similar/reskinned versions of older objects already in the game),but the updates are still very lacking in comparison to the ones we used to get in the other chapters.Talking about the Jujutsu Kaisen mini-battle pass,i think that it’s pretty fine overall, but since it’s introduction in C3S3,it feels like they’re relying way too much on those.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion,C4S3 is sadly, exactly what i expected:a season that does nothing to advance or improve the state of the game in any way. While the gameplay is fun, most of the features are recycled from previous seasons, and the entire season overall reeks of “already seen”.Combine that with a battle pass without an identity and all the problems that have been plaguing Chapter 4 since it’s beginning, and you have a season that is bound to be forgotten by the majority of the playerbase in a matter of months.

Mega was already pretty lackluster but somehow this season ended up boring me so much that I forgot to keep up with the game and almost didn’t finish the battle pass. I don’t have much to say besides I think a lot of the stuff in this season had good concepts but just really mediocre executions.

At least we got Futurama skins in the game, which means Epic has no excuse not to put in Peter Griffin. JUST GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT WE WANT!

-Map changes and jungle theme was the main highlight
-Weapon pool was sorta decent
-skins were meh
-No finale event (again)
