I would play hours and hours of this game all by myself. All the game modes were great to play even single player. I just wish that the new ones captured this same feeling I had when I played this one.

It's just fun. Whether you're in multiplayer or alone, it's just a good time.

One of the first games I've ever played and even after all those years it's still a very fun game to play.
Got its issues with map, enemy and difficulty balancing, but when it works it is just absolutely beautiful and certain iconic maps like Bespin Platforms are not even in the direct sequel and therefore exclusive to this game.

Great game that sits in the shadow of its sequel often times. I enjoy the total focus on ground combat, despite the lack of playable heroes. Sadly a lot of great maps got taken out for Battlefront II, outside of perhaps early DLC.

This game has some of the best multiplayer maps I've seen. I love Rhen Var especially.

It coulda just been an illusion the game creates but It CONSTANTLY felt like you're in the middle of the action, and that there's so much happening around you. Never has really been another game like it.

I really loved this and for a while i preferred it over bf2

Only think it did better than its sequel was the first person cockpit view in vehicles being really detailed

While the sequel is preferred, there's merit to being the first to accomplish something. There are many exclusive maps and a different, albeit simpler, galactic conquest mode that make this game worthy of returning to.

Honestly, it's surprisingly good, even today

FIRST GEN CLONE TROOPER ARMOR IS THE BEST FUCK EVERYTHING ELSE

honestly it's just as good as the sequel. fuckin owns

Der Grund warum wir uns eine PS2 gekauft haben. Inszeniert schöne Star Wars Schlachten. Besitzt einige der besten Maps, die im zweiten Teil leider komplett fehlen.
Leider nicht gut gealtert.

Compared to the sequel, this game feels very bare, but it's still a nice, fun game. There are also some things I wish carried over to Battlefront II, such as enemies being able to use heroes, and the B1 battle droid being playable. Also Bespin. Bespin was so tight.

IIIIIIIIIN GALACTIC CONQUEST

A great tour of the battles in the Star Wars universe.

When people say "Battlefront is so good" they are either referring to the 2004 version or they are wrong.

One of the advantages it still had over battlefront 2 were the ground maps with air vehicles, as opposed to BF2 having more of a split between indoor maps and space battles. For that reason I'd swap between playing this and BF2 a lot as a kid depending on what I was in the mood for. Though on PC it's definitely easy to get these maps modded into BF2 now.

not as good as the second but still a very fun time

Not quite as good as it's immediate sequel, but still a fantastic arcadey shooter experience in the star wars universe. The maps are fantastic, and fun was the clear priority. Worth playing today, even if it's just to appreciate where 2 is built from

Man, I have a whole new appreciation for Battlefront 2. Ship combat, better maps, heroes, a way more in-depth and varied campaign, perks, and being more functional overall makes 2 an incredible sequel. There is no reason to play this other than to see what came before.

no items, 1v1, Bespin Platforms

The precursor to one of the most renowned shooters in gaming history, and an underappreciated one at that.
