The Tetris controls are top-notch, the additional modes are substantial and fun, and the soundtrack comprised of all Nintendo 8-bit remixes hits hard and sticks in your head. This feels like some sorta weird "sequel"(?) to the NES/GB Tetris, as it pays lip service to their visuals and soundtracks throughout the game, so that's dope too. Yeah this game is perfect. Nintendo should really get another chance with this franchise, as you can tell they really care for it

The best Tetris game, I love everything about it. The only Tetris game I've played enough to get a score of over 1,000,000 in marathon mode, and that's before the other game modes. No reason to play the others.

Some modes I'm not into, but overall it's almost definitely the single best package Tetris has ever had.

The best version of Tetris I've ever played. Most of the new modes invented for this version (Catch, especially) are fantastic, and the use of Nintendo characters and music is very charming. One of my favorite games for the DS.

Put hours into this one playing it casually. The NES themes for each of the modes was very charming.

This game forms hours of my childhood. I distinctly remember getting addicted to this game after my Dad explaining what Tetris was and how to play it the best. Now I can play Tetris 99 and get into the top every single time. Play this if you really want to become above average at Tetris.

The definitive Tetris experience, constantly addicting. I remember going for max score without knowing about T-Spins like an idiot but still. If you want to play Tetris, play DS there's so many ways to play and it's just Tetris at its finest. The constantly changing themes and music also keep runs fresh since you aren't hearing one song forever. The Nintendo love is a nice touch...
