Really impressive for a movie based game to have so much attention to detail and just all-around fun beat-em-up action, but the unbalanced AI can get quite frustrating in later levels, especially when trying to max out the high scores and bonus objectives. Still, any game to feature "Shake It" by Iain Matthews in its soundtrack gets my approval.

When I was a kid, I used to rent a game from Blockbuster every week. For a long time there was a rent-one-get-one-free promotion. I'd rent two games, beat them both in a week, and go back the next week for two more. If that sounds like a lot of gaming, it is! I am a huge dork!

The one game my mom would never let me rent was The Warriors. She let me rent Grand Theft Auto and Manhunt, but for some reason The Warriors was too far. So I played pretty much every game in that Blockbuster except The Warriors. Well look at me now mom, I finally got the chance to fulfill my childhood dream.

It's a fine game. It's a pretty dated beat-em-up but it works well enough. It would probably be a 2/5 for me if it weren't for the incredible work they did creating a world based on the stellar Walter Hill film. The music rips and the aesthetic is spot on.

Sonhei por anos tentando lembrar qual era esse jogo, hoje finalmente me lembro e como eu amo esse jogo...

Story: ★★★★½

THIS is how you do a movie tie-in game.

Faithful to the movie and expands the universe within it. Fun fighting mechanics and a killer soundtrack.

The best video game ever based on a film. No questions asked. Too many video games based on movies were cash-grabs. This was not.

An extremely loving send up to a sort of mediocre 70s thriller/action movie, I defy you to find a stranger use of IP in video games. The sections before the movie are kinda great actually, the stuff that takes place during the film drags the characters down and leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

The best Rockstar title ever. Too bad they just make NFTs and DLCs now or whatever.

spamming the running attack is how i got through most of this game. lots of wrestling moves! gotta love that

Not only a great adaptation but also a great beat 'em up

my dad didn't let me play this game cause its too violent
I played it anyways >:)

everyone should watch the warriors and then come out to play this little gem. movie-based games don't get much better than this. quite possibly my favorite rockstar game

É tudo muito reciclado e repetitivo, a única coisa legal em toda a gameplay do jogo são os Finishing Moves, poderia e deveria ter bem mais exploração, jogar com outras pessoas fez minha experiência melhor do que seria jogando sozinho

Perfect mechanics, extremely fun story and a prime example of a movie-videogame adaptation. I had hours upon hours of endless fun as a kid with this, checked it out a couple months ago and it's still a gem :)
Rockstar don't miss!

It was a very bizarre thing that a 70s cult hit such as this got a video game in 2005!
I'd love to see Rockstar do other classics from that decade, such as Annie Hall or One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.

Big fan of the movie, I really enjoyed what they've done here.

The game starts as a prequel to the film, it teaches you more about their members and how the gang started, I especially appreciated how they gave a lot of story to Cleo, the leader of The Warriors. It really tries to fill you in on everything that the film couldn't, like many gangs that you see at the beginning of the film, but couldn't have an appearance due to lack of time.
They captured the charm of the movie perfectly with the visuals and the soundtrack, nothing feels out of place. And this adds up to the experience as you gotta defend your turf, rob stores, mark your territory and beat up dudes, all with the help of your gang members which you can order around. The combat is good and messy, you and the enemies get real bloody, the IA can be a bit cheap but you can get around it.

If you're a fan of the movie, it's definitely worth checking out. If you have a friend, the game has co-op too, and a few game-modes where you can VS each other.

trying to get ripped so i can join a gang and throw A Clockwork Orange nerds off rooftops like in this game

there are slurs in this game that are not allowed to be used anymore

This game was so much fun to play with a friend, both in story mode and in side modes.

If you ask me, this is probably my favorite movie game. I feel like when they adapted the movie to a game it was handled really well.

I like the movie and I like the game and I like the gangs and I like the fame

One of the best movie tie in games ever made. Even though the movie is from the 70s. All the stuff they added feels like a natural extension to the source material and the writing never felt odd or not apart of the series.

Rockstar Games apenas e somente.

A surprisingly good game that expands on characters and scenes from the cult classic movie.

A complimentary piece to the film, and one of the funnest multiplayer experiences of its time. An absolute blast to play with a friend on couch co-op
