I enjoyed it as a slightly more mature Digimon story. The gameplay is simple but not un-fun or tedious. However, its 90% graphic novel style didn't make me want to replay it anytime soon to get the other narrative routes, which feels like I missed out on the complete story.

That said, the visuals of both the visual novel sections and the combat sections are some of my favorite ever for a Digimon game.

Refreshing entry in the digimon series, I love it. A darker entry into the digimon series that functions like until dawn style games with multiple playthroughs warranted. The combat is a tactics field (think Fire Emblem, FF Tactics, etc) It has its drawbacks but its so full of heart and the characters are wonderful
