I think this was the perfect game to bring Kirby into 3D. The levels are compact enough to keep you moving in one direction while also allowing lots of opportunity to explore. The level-up system for Kirby's powers also add a unique spin that can make certain abilities super overpowered or situational.

This is not Kirby's strongest outing. At least half of previous copy abilities are missing here, including some ones that've become mainstays. Like some other reviewers here, I don't exactly see why they made them upgradable. The level design is rather plain and unexciting. Kirby has always had a height limit in the 2D games but it feels a lot more evident (and lower) this time around. The setting is also just... Strange for a Kirby game. Don't get me wrong, it looks pretty, it just feels out of place for a Kirby title. Most of the bosses aren't anything that'll stick in your brain. Although I like aspects of this game, I don't think I'll be coming back to finish this one anytime soon.

...What did they DO to Dedede!?

Such a beautiful and refreshing take on the Kirby franchise. Simple, but with enough depth to keep me entertained. The bosses and level designs were spectacular. Definitely an all time favorite game of mine.

the first kirby game to dethrone superstar imo. extremely well designed 3d platformer with a truly insane finale, and a great couch co-op game on top of that

Man, I sure do hate it when my furry OC turns into The Thing

fun and straightforward. very pretty

Hands down best Kirby game ever, and sleeper best games of 2022. I was shocked how much I liked this game

i love kerby game. send! peak. My only gripe is that i wish there were more copy abilities to fuck around with

Kirby made the switch to 3D decades later than everyone else, but he did one helluva job doing so. I was so peacefully happy playing this game the entire time. Mandatory for Kirby fans, highly recommended for Switch owners.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is the same Kirby game that came out in 2016, which was the same one that came out in 2014, which is nearly identical to the one that came out in 2011.

11 years later and it still doesn't miss a beat.

It's called the Forgotten Land because i forgot I ever even played this game

GooeyScale: 7/10

Really fun with a friend! The OST goes crazy.

might be my favorite in the series

Muy buen juego divertido y entretenido para todas las edades, el único defecto es su bajísima dificultad y escasa rejugabilidad

After all these years a lot of people have anticipated and asked for a 3d kirby game. I always thought it was unnecessary, in a bit of a conservative way. Forgotten Land not only proved me wrong, it took my words and threw it in my face, by bringing me one of the best kirby games I have ever played. It's everything a classic kirby game needs: abilities and gimmicks that interact with the levels, an easy playthrough with a more difficult challenge offered to players right after, and my favorite: collectables (the waddle dees) that are an indicator of 100%ting the game. Forgotten lands does everything kirby has done before, only now its all in the style of 3d.

Amazing music, visuals, gameplay, level design, length,... what more do you want?
Very impressive for a first mainline 3D game

Its really cool seeing kirby in a 3D game. I really enjoy Kirby games, even though they are pretty short and easy, so that makes it really cool playing this in 3D. I think its definitly harder than most kirby games because its in 3D, but thats not a problem at all. Its really fun and just a game i enjoyed to play just mindlessly when i was bored. It was also nice because most kirby games are like 2 hours and this was something like 10 so its nice to have more time in that.

one of the most beautiful games on switch and you can do a beam clash as an 18 wheeler that's amazing

Unironically, one of the least forgettable games in the main series, and probably one of the most unique aswell.
This playstyle needs to become the new norm for Kirby games, period.

This game is so good and I believe it's not talked about enough.

Muy mono y divertido pero repite bastante se me hizo muy largo

Gran juego y primer Kirby 3D game!

Delightful stuff. harder than I thought, but very rewarding. And cute!
