Ghostrunner is a super fast paced action game with tons of exhilarating combat and movement. Which is really the appeal of the game, the combat is so inexplicably fun and intense and its very hard not to get into this game. There are aspects of the game I don't like though. For example I think some of the enemy variatons are really annoying and kinda weaken the experience. I also think the story is decent but not really special but thats not the focus of the game so it's fine. Overall the game is a super fun time with a few boring segments but an overall great game. Also the dlc was fun and maybe i'll play the second game. 8/10

Okay this time i actually sat down and finished the game and it’s great. The combat is fast and has new mechanics to keep you engaged. If you die you can just immediately start again from a checkpoint which is a nice break from the usual Dark Souls runbacks, and the game is very generous with checkpoints too.
Only minuses are that the game is pretty short, has some kinda weird animations and bad voice acting at times, and that the bosses are a little lackluster.
But overall it’s great and i can’t wait to play the sequel.

Great game with a few gripes.
I really enjoyed my time playing this but I feel like it could have been longer but I totally understand why it wasn't and I know it has a sequel that I'm yet to play so that could change my whole opinion. I also think sometimes the combat and movement felt clunky but that was very rarely most of the time it was really smooth and clean

This is a good game overall, but it's the things around it that drag it down.
I don't mind the story all too much as this game seems to focus on the gameplay more than anything, however I am not really a fan of the music. It sounds pretty samey through the entire game and was a missed opportunity to up the atmosphere for different areas.
The movement in this game is super satisfying 99% of the time, however there were more than a few instances where the camera would jerk or I'd do something that I wasn't trying to do. If you stay on the main path you're usually fine but as soon as you trek onto the side geometry or try to do precise platforming things can get really janky, which is sometimes needed for the collectibles.
The collectibles were also missed potential. I didn't bother trying to collect any I missed as in order to do that you need to replay the entire chapter again, and with most of them being decently long I didn't want to bother rechecking every corner.
With all the complaining done though, this game is very fun when it focuses on the important stuff and the level design and movement is solid.

Reminiscent of Hotline Miami and Katana Zero, made 3D, and slathered in cyberpunk aesthetics. The cybernetic portions of the game sport much more fascinating, hazy visuals, particularly in the paths that construct themselves in front of you.
I want a game like this, but with less focus on puzzling out how to Efficiently Kill The Dudes and more on moving around with the toolset. Perhaps I set myself up for disappointment by hoping for something that it simply wasn't going to be.

This game is built for people whose ADHD has ADHD. And this is coming from someone who has ADHD as well. The game was good but the story had a very anticlimactic ending. It definitely is another Mirrors Edge Style game. Mara wasn’t the bad guy all along and The Architect out the box already seemed sus. Make sure you have extreme amounts of patience for this.
I finished the game after 2 days of playing and it was great, I love how you can move freely like a real runner and the animation/music gives me that good vibe that I'm BADASS, The gameplay is fire to me the game design is so cool I love cyberpunk futuristic style, but for the story it is okay sometimes goes fine to meh and I wanted to invest more to the characters but overall I loved the experience of ghostrunne <3.
