Fun to explore and learn about the story of this beleaguered youth, and has some interesting atmospheric vibes

I finally took the time to play this classic narrative walking simulator.
I loved the story (which, for me, is the most important part in this game genre), the voice actors and the sound environment.
Technical and gameplay aspects are decent for a 2013 game.

Medo por ta sozinho em casa

Cool for trophy hunting but otherwise insanely forgettable

I have a thing for house settings in games, like Uninvited, Maniac Mansion and Luigi's Mansion. And here's a game about walking around a house and examining stuff to learn about the people who lived there. It's very atmospheric, and I just enjoyed the concept and how it was done. The price, was another matter. Asking a bit much for what's provided here, though at the time, I felt it made sense since the game was assumed to have a very small, niche audience. Now with the gaming market much larger and more varied than ever before, we know that a lot of people will gladly buy something like this, and 20 bucks is too much to ask for something this small.
But anyway, I enjoyed being immersed in the house environment and learning about the people.
Oh yeah, the optimization on this Unity Engine programmed game needs serious work!

Can't believe I left for like 3 years and my friendless little sister turned gay 😤 😭

Came in looking for a horror experience.

Understood quite quickly that was not the case.

Left with a generic love story about gay people.

Voice Acting was pretty good though.

Eh.
I played it, I didn't hate it, I forgot about it. That summarizes my timeline with Gone Home.
Its a teen novel in the form of a videogame really, just with extra plot points that lead to nowhere.
I bet its great if you're 15 though!

what even was this game i forgot this existed..

Um dos primeiros do gênero walking simulator, aqui temos o simples sendo bem executado, uma história muito boa

i remember this game curing my headaches every time i started playing, the cozy factor is kind of off the charts, even though the atmosphere can be a little scary, and the storytelling is very well executed

I'm a big fan of how you can enjoy Gone Home and unravel its secrets in just a couple of hours but it will stay with you for much longer than that.

Picking up random stuff: the scary experience
