Damn, I just finished Buddy Simulator 1984 and this game immediately lost so much of its charm. It's still got some cool tricks though won't deny that

REALLY freaked me out! the horror element is done well, as well as design making it feel very real. it was short and the experience of it isn't replayable which is a bummer. it does a really good job at using computer elements (audio/camera) to make it feel as real as possible. kinito is such a lovable guy too. heavily recommend!!

Se me ha pasado el tiempo volando y no he dejado de estar tenso. Toda la estĂ©tica está chulĂsima, y en general el juego mola mucho. AĂşn asĂ lo he sentido como un juego de sustos sin mucha más chicha. Creo que le ha faltado mucha más historia detrás para que me llegara a encantar.

The concept is great and it pushes a bit what some games did already in the past breaking the fourth wall. Still, it lacks in content and I was expecting something scarier and more disturbing.

This has to be one of the best horror game's I've played in recent times. Its super fun and with the mechanic of it using your computer to the fullest is so awesome.
The soundtrack is really good, and I love the 2000s computer aesthetic.

The fact it turns on your camera half way is actually crazy, freaked me out. Same with the "Where is my location" into your search-bar, that was actually freaky.
The part where kinitopet like comes into your bedroom is so creepy, especially with how disturbing he is. The hide and seek part was so scary. And the ending is so good. It feels like the portal endings which I love. The secret ending too is amazing. This game honestly is perfect besides the fact that its too short. I completed the game in 2 hours with the secret ending. Please do more with kinitopet it is peak!!.

It's a good and short experience, different than everything everyone has played until now. It's unique and inovative, breaks the fourth wall, but it didn't scared me.
This game is not good; it has poor pacing, stilted dialogue, badly timed jumpscares, and predictable plot beats.
It also seems to be heavily inspired by Buddy Simulator 1984; while that isn't a bad thing in and of itself, it introduces forced and similarly applied story elements that do not fit in well (The horror in Buddy Sim had jumpscares that made sense in context, where in the case of KinitoPET, he wants to be your friend, but also goes out of his way to scare the fuck out of you for no reason?). The simplest way to put it is that the game is trying to mash together the tropes of "Evil malware that will kill you" and "AI that is lonely and wants a friend", and it does not blend the two together well.
Credit where credit is due, though, this game is technically very impressive. KinitoPET employs some pretty fancy tricks in its scares, and does it well enough for me to recommend you play it if you've got a couple extra dollars to spare.
This game sucks, I like it a lot, and I wish it was better.
Addendum: My friend has expressed that finally being able to kill Kinito was very cathartic, and requested I append this to my review.

the game was sort of(?) innovative and fun to play in vc with friends and i LOVED getting my address flashed to my good friend ETHAN but since the hype kind of died and the lack of replayability makes it easily forgettable
I thought this was one of the best psychological horror games i've played in awhile

KinitoPET was an interesting experience, to say the least. A strangely scary game, where you experience real terror trapped by your virtual assistant. I've always liked videos exploring old PC viruses, like Bonzi Buddy, and KinitoPET shows an extremely similar experience.
The game is extremely well done down to the smallest details, looking like it actually acts like a real virus, which intensifies the atmosphere as a whole. Its only problem is that it's very short, in 2 hours you can beat it quickly, but it was made with that purpose, but if the game were longer I feel like it would be scarier (not saying that it isn't already), besides that I feel that it is a good game to be played just once, as the mystery all happens the first time the game is played. If you like psychological horror, and have a couple of bucks, buy this game, it's worth it for the experience!
