When I think of Kirb games this is the one I think of. It has all the notable tropes and is just a comfy experience.

To me, Nightmare is the definitive Gameboy Kirby experience. Although Super Star has ideas that far surpass Nightmare, the refined mechanics and flashiness of Nightmare make up the difference and then some. Though I found this game a little frustrating to 100%, the experience was certainly worth it. I found the game delightfully straight-forward with HAL really getting in the groove for their addition of mini-games within the main game. Also delivers some of my favourite art and areas in the series, the Fountain of Dreams is iconic for a reason.

This is the first 2D Kirby game that really grabbed me to the point I couldn't put it down. Even after I accidentally lost my save, that was on the 2nd to last world, due to an unfamiliarity with the hardware I was playing it on, I happily booted it back up and got back to that point. The levels are so fast, and there's so many weird little layouts within them that I never had a second to get bored. It's also dead simple, but that simplicity doesn't always mean that it's easy, with a handful of sections really testing my reflexes in ways that I did not expect at all. I think this might be my favorite art style from what I've played of the series as well, it feels a lot more like it's trying to bring the NES style into 16-bit, instead of just doing the simple thing and doing Super Star's graphics 1:1.

My first Kirby game. It's REALLY good, I enjoyed it a lot. A bit difficult, but really fun overall.

Like all Kirby games: easy, fun, and has good replay value. It does have some cool bonus content if you manage to "200%" the game.

FLUFF UP YOUR PILLOW!
Yeah it's a Kirby game. It's not the best Kirby game I've played but it's still an enjoyable time. The spritework is gorgeous and the story is kinda clever (for a remake of an NES game anyway) Also why is Nightmare hot? Is that just me? Am I a crazy person?

jogar kirby é um dos meus meios de conforto mental, mas eu penei com esse controle do kirby. fora isso continua gostosinho de jogar :p

This game is a little weird for me because I don't remember Kirby's Adventure that well since I played it over a year ago, but for this game in particular, it's alright. I don't know if this was the case for Adventure, but the levels here are a lot shorter than I expected. It also feels like the difficulty was toned down for the remake, and I honestly don't mind that. At the same time, levels feel like they end really quickly and that might be because of the lowered difficulty. Checking the times for beating this game and Adventure, I took almost half the time on this one compared to Adventure. I guess I don't really mind since it was a good game to sit down and beat in one sitting, but I don't think this one will stick with me after a while. Overall, just an average Kirby game and a pretty good remake of the original since it feels much smoother to play.

Review applies to both this game and Kirby's adventure which this is a remake of. This is an extremely solid follow-up to Kirby's Dream Land. Taking everything that already works from the first game and giving Kirby the new iconic copy ability that changes everything, and makes Kirby who he is today.

A great platformer with a relaxed but fun difficulty. Kirby's (Adventure) knightmare in dreamland keeps you on your toes offering you new copy abilities to play with until the final levels. Copy abilities offer some good replayability due to the fact that it offers you mutliple ways to play.

Nothing here reaches the heights some other parts of the series do, but it is consistently good the whole way through. I like to consider Kirby's Adventure the original Super Mario Bros of the franchise where it is a great foundation to the rest of the series, but still has potential to reach the great heights it eventually does.

First 6 levels were mehhh last two were cool asf

This game is the first non-edutainment game I ever remember playing. As such, it holds a very special place in my heart. Even beyond that, I think it's just a damn good Kirby game. Not the best one, but still really great. The Meta Knight mode is a cool bonus for beating the hardest mode in the game.

my first kirby game! was told it's a good place to start and man I just don't really get the appeal beyond really cute sprite work. obviously intended as a more casual experience for a younger demographic but this is literally just far, far too easy and not an especially rewarding experience, even as a de-stressor. any half decent power (sword or laser) and you can clear a way through just about anybody, if you're even bothering to fight them because it's just as easy to just... float past. it's nice! I did enjoy it, just not a bunch
