Resident Evil (2002) for the Gamecube is a fantastic remake that breathes new life into the survival horror classic. The pre-rendered backgrounds and tank controls create a tense atmosphere, while the puzzles, item management, and limited ammo keep the gameplay thrilling. New content like extra areas and a deeper dive into the narrative add replay value for fans, while the survival horror elements remain effective even today.

Grande remake do primeiro resident evil um verdadeiro classico.

This is one of my favourite looking games. The pre-rendered backgrounds are perfect and all the camera angles are beautifully composed. Thankfully, everything else about the game is great as well. I generally feel pretty strong disdain towards remakes and even I love this game. About as close to perfect as a classic survival horror game can be.

really good. camera was hard to get used to but i'd say that's it. very entertaining. played on ps5

absolutely amazing, genuinely creepy and one of the best in the franchise and THANK GOD ts was remastered, i kinda hope we get another one + hope it retains everything perfect abt this
might get it on gamecube soon and i cant wait to play that as well

had a blast playing this especially because I streamed the entire thing and my friends who I hate kept lying to me and trying to get me killed at every opportunity. the multiple endings thing is kind of weird and I got this chill ass ending where chris and jill just leave on the helicopter and there's no final boss and it was kind of underwhelming lol. that's on me for not finding Rebecca though but that's the sort of old timey stuff I'd expect from a 1996 videogame, you're supposed to play it several times and try to get all the endings and such. a very different experience from more modern RE which was my entry point but an amazing experience nonetheless. can't really see this one getting remade again but hey if they do it I'll gladly buy it

It's peak resident evil don't know what else to say. I'm overjoyed we got back to this style of gameplay with the remake of the second game, and can only pray we get something similar in the inevitable 9.

I finally went back and beat it and yeah, this is generational. The platonic ideal of what a survival horror game is.

"scariest moment in gaming" and it's just an average Baltimorean citizen staring at you

Resident Evil is the pinnacle of horror.

The atmosphere is thick with tension, the quiet music that would normally be soothing serves to heighten your anxiety as you navigate the maze like halls of the Spencer Mansion.

Resident Evil is terrifying.

A juggernaut of the genre, of video games as a whole. Very few games have managed to capture the same feelings that this game generates. It is truly one of a kind, and a masterpiece.
