Well, my cousin noted that I have a "strong arm" when I was throwing a 🏈 around with him and his son and my uncle. Considering I don't lift weights...
This game does a great job of combining exercise and video gameplay in a way in which, admittedly the two are sometimes at odds with each other, but overall, it works, I think. Special attacks are additional quickie exercises. Difficulty level is number of reps. It combines the disparate elements of exercise and turn-based RPG gaming in a way that somehow works. And I still play it, years later.

Ring fit adventure is a fitness game by nintendo using a ring device (that probably has a name I am not aware of) for lots of sports moves. This is the first time I have used a console sports game and actually felt having exercised like a proper gym exercises, at times even more so. And I am one of the many gamers who are not particularly sporty, it is exactly what we have been expecting for from fitness games for a long time. It is unreal how well does it motivate to do more squats than you'd think you can just so you can kill some monsters, I'd never do that in a gym. The only down side I can say is that some of the moves are badly designed, and you need to watch multiple youtube videos to understand how to do them correctly since the motion sensors don't help you enough or even misguide you. Many yoga moves being the worst offenders, doing them in smooth, correct motion will give you fewer points than yanky slow motion. I've played it for over three years now, lost weight and gained muscles (just a little bit, let's be honest), and have just finished all the new game plusses and most of the side quests. Each new game plus is about a year of exercise averaging 4 times a week and maybe 15 minutes per session, that is definitely money well spent. The effectiveness of the exercise wears off the further you get, but on the other hand it just means you are more fit and have plateau'd, so not too bad. Atm I kind of only wish they'd come up with continuation to get me to the next level but maybe only way to do that is to actually start doing some sports.

i played through ringfit adventure to completion and i've never been healthier than what i was during that time. definitely kickstarted my working out obsession. kind of wish they made a sequel i need to lose a few pounds again.

if I had self control I wouldn't be such a fatass, fun game tho

Deserves kudos for making me do yoga willingly, but it can get quite repetitive. Gets you really sweaty though. Nice atmosphere in the art, animation, and sound design.

I figured it wasn’t gonna be much of a challenge but it actually surprised me, and can be a bit difficult you if you don’t take it seriously. I bought this on sale at Walmart for $30, and I think it was worth it. I don’t know if the original $80 price tag was reasonable, but then again I’m quite cheap at times. Regardless, I had a lot of fun with it for what it was. The rhythm games were my favorite : )

The only time a game can be physically exhausting to play and have that not be a flaw in the game
