Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance is a true metroidvania style castlevania. I didn't play this originally and now replaying it on ps4 through a collection. It is a solid game in part of a series, good music and good controls. I think my main issue with this game is that it is slightly too easy, I believe that this can be because it was originally for gameboy advance, where one of the main struggles would have been the poor backlight and visibility, which seems to be helped by overly kind hitboxes on weapons and massive special attacks. I 100% completed the first run with all endings in relatively short time (also no extra modes or new game plusses). However, in the end the whole playthrough was enjoyable so can't complain too much.

Shadow of the Tomb raider is a classical action adventure game with top quality Hollywood style plot. The game plays well and the progression is well-balanced mix of shooting or stealth sections, puzzles and platforming, talking with NPC's and quick time event style running action sequences. Most of these are well implented, and allow different play styles with good difficulty level. The most annoying I find are the quick-time eventish running scene where you are basically always running from something and have to react to falling things and stuff, they aren't real QTEs so there's no button prompts but you still have to memorise what do on each step and it's usually not obvious at all so it just becomes annoying. The camera is sometimes quite bad and especially swimming is torture. Other than that there is no big problems in the game. The music is top notch and the voice acting is passable. I kind of like using native languages for npc's but calling it immersive is quite absurd, that's not quite how it works in real world.

Ring fit adventure is a fitness game by nintendo using a ring device (that probably has a name I am not aware of) for lots of sports moves. This is the first time I have used a console sports game and actually felt having exercised like a proper gym exercises, at times even more so. And I am one of the many gamers who are not particularly sporty, it is exactly what we have been expecting for from fitness games for a long time. It is unreal how well does it motivate to do more squats than you'd think you can just so you can kill some monsters, I'd never do that in a gym. The only down side I can say is that some of the moves are badly designed, and you need to watch multiple youtube videos to understand how to do them correctly since the motion sensors don't help you enough or even misguide you. Many yoga moves being the worst offenders, doing them in smooth, correct motion will give you fewer points than yanky slow motion. I've played it for over three years now, lost weight and gained muscles (just a little bit, let's be honest), and have just finished all the new game plusses and most of the side quests. Each new game plus is about a year of exercise averaging 4 times a week and maybe 15 minutes per session, that is definitely money well spent. The effectiveness of the exercise wears off the further you get, but on the other hand it just means you are more fit and have plateau'd, so not too bad. Atm I kind of only wish they'd come up with continuation to get me to the next level but maybe only way to do that is to actually start doing some sports.
