My second favorite after Graces F. I love the story. Characters like Luke and Natalia stayed in my gaming memory even today. Jade is such a cool character too. If you like story driven games, this tales is among the best one imo. Combat style is close to Star Ocean 1 or 2 so if you have no problem with that, you should try this one.

BOOHOO IM A FUCKIN REPLICA AND IM PROUD!. I was real excited to play this one since i heard so many good things about it and after playing it... I liked it but i don't think its the best entry or top 3, I'd say top 5. The story is easily is the best in the series, it starts a bit lame, with Luke being pretty lame but when i stopped and thought about it, this guy has been isolated in his castle his whole life so its to be expected for him to act like a spoiled cunt, but then you get to that part when he helps van destroy akzeriuth and its like "OH SHIT, I KNEW THIS MF VAN WAS SUS", and the gang just shits on Luke for what he did and he starts crying, like sheesh bro i felt real bad for him, and yeah you can say the gang were being hypocritical for not telling him about all the important details, how i see it they we're prob gon tell him at some point but it was too late. And then we get this mf Asch and im gonna be honest i don't like Asch as a character, he just comes of as a Asshole for no reason and thinks he can do everything himself, he earned his downfall. But then Luke wakes up and then decides he's gonna become a better person and cuts off his hair, which dawg, short hair Luke looks like ass, the long hair looked fire af. And then the story just keeps on getting better and better from there. All the characters are great in this game, with good motives and personality(maybe even the best cast in the series?, im not sure). Now for Gameplay Its def a improvement from symphonia with it being able to move in all directions, though freemove is pretty broken in abyss to be honest, like in the boss fights while fun, a lot of them just become agame of do the combo, freerun away from their attacks, repeat, and Overlimit is pretty cool. Music is Great in this game, especially the battle themes like god damn, easily the best battle themes in the series, except the final boss theme that shit is pretty lame im ngl. Overall This is a great tales game that anyone getting into the series should play, heck this is even a good 1st entry into the series too.

لم استطع اكمال اللعبه بسبب نظام القتال السيء والقصه الممله

A story about discovering the meaning of life, ALL characters have depth and interesting backstories. Jade is my favorite character with literal ASPD.

I just don't think I like this whole franchise.

Maybe its my fault too.

I first played this series in hopes of finding a action rpg game that I would like similar to KH2, but not a souls-like and/or made by square enix. I enjoy the campy, overly anime story and characters, thats part of what I like. The gameplay is where these games falter for me. The tales of games, even arise, always feel clunky, slow, and limiting. Your moveset is not that interesting and the enemies you fight are neither unique, nor engaging. Maybe it's my fault for expecting a franchise to have one game comparable to a ps2 game. I won't claim that KH2 is the peak of combat in action rpgs, far from it, but I just wanted something similar to that. I saw someone in these reviews describe this combat as fast and fluid, and I wonder what video game they played?

I think a major issue with this franchise is that every game has it's own issues. Like Vesperia has insane difficulty spikes (according to others), Berseria's soul system is not fleshed out, Zestria is... Zestria, Abyss is stagnant, slow and presents nothing of value to the audience, and Innocence that I played for some reason has an awful story. I'll probably play xillia and if I don't like that, I might be done with this franchise.

Another game that means a lot to me. The game's story and themes hit home when I was younger, and the gameplay is perhaps some of the best in the series. Loaded with content, certainly my favorite of the big three (Symphonia, Abyss, and Vesperia).

My personal favourite in the Tales series - it takes basically everything good about Symphonia and cranks it up to 11. The battle system is fast and fluid, and once you unlock some mid-to-late game abilities (or carry them over into NG+), you can really exploit the FoF system. I've probably replayed this one a half a dozen times, and I still love the characters and plot that are both extremely strong. The connections between the God Generals and the main cast add a lot of interesting depth and the world feels expansive and interesting to explore. 100% I will play it again and again.

100% A life changing experience. Played this when I was in a really obscure state of mind and this game gave me will to life again, even if it sounds as a joke. Thanks Luke for teaching me that I have to keep on living no matter what. If you dropped this gem because Luke's maners at the start of the game, you are missing a LOT!!!
