Story is Weaker than Spider-man 1 but gameplay is a Vast improvement

As with all these games, very technically accomplished. The content of them is kinda like trashy food to me, and this one is no exception. Not a huge challenge or very engaging, but easy to just zone out and play through them.

The story was predictable but good enough, I think Miles is a great character. There are fewer annoying side activities than SM1 but the core issues I had with combat being kinda dull and the stealth sections just bad remain unchanged.

gameplay and graphics wise its better than the original in every way but its not as good in every other aspect lol, still very very good though

Short, but it has everything a good Spider-Man game needs.

I didn't expect this game to be better than the first, but it was. Miles Morales is an absolutely incredible spin-off that fixes almost all of the problems I had with the first game and improves upon it. The story of this game is paced well and the story is near-perfect. It bothered me in the first game too, but I just find Ganke's ability to hack anything way too convenient. And due to the quick pacing, I found one scene between Phin and Miles near the end of the game to be a little rushed. Those are the only complaints I have with the entire game. The new Venom attacks and invisibility make the combat even more fun than before. The side missions got a face lift this time around, with almost every single one feeling like they add to the world and narrative. Miles' swinging animations are also a highlight here, making him look like he's freestyling as he goes. This game has the best Spider-Man theme ever made. Hands down. And speaking of which, the soundtrack is also incredible. Despite the shorter length, the game feels like it's worth the $50 price due to what it adds to the series and the overall quality of it being even better than the first, with next-gen in mind and all. I played it on last-gen and ran into zero problems. This is another must-buy that you definitely shouldn't miss out on.

All the mechanics and graphics are improved from the first, but the story is mid

Miles morales is the shorter and slightly weaker version of marvels spider-man. But the game is still great. I absolutely love Miles Morales as a character. Into the spider-verse is my favorite movie oat so his character holds something special to me and I love his interpretation here. The gameplay is an improved version of the OG, the venom abilities are insanely fun. The traversal stays mainly the same but I love the animations that miles has. Story is solid but not as good as OG. Overall game is a great shorter experience. 8/10

Reviewing every game i've fully completed #48

Probably my favorite game in the spiderman series.
Miles > Peter

The story felt weaker than the first game, but upon further reflection, it is just a different scale of story. Miles powers improve the flow of combat and traversal feels snappier on the PS5.

Recomendo se gosta do Spider-Man.

Really good game but I think it could've used a bit more time t flesh out the villain before.. THAT reveal...

Alright, I had high expectations coming into this game and I have to say it definitely fulfilled them. The game doesn't waste any time throwing you right into the action with a tag team sequence fighting a villian with Peter, serving as the tutorial but also not slowing anything down, the mission then culminates with Pete telling Miles he has to leave for Europe and that protecting the city is solely on Miles shoulders now..

Gameplay:8

- Fluid, high action gameplay similar to the first but improved on (Miles has some different powers)
- Shorter game but a new game+ mode adds some replay ablity with a couple new unlocks
- Only a couple gadgets, wouldn't mind more but with the size of the game it works out well
- A perfect blend between story and action
- Wish they could've utilized the PS5 controller better, but that's alright.

Story:8

- One of the best parts of the game, very emotional
- Expands on the Spider-Man Insomniac universe and opens the doors for the potential team-up in the next game
- Some of the side-quests in this game are amazing, (Pete sending you to ESU)

Graphics:9

- Probably biased, this is the first game I've played on my new PS5 and I'm blown away, the ray tracing effects and added lighting/shadows are very immersive
- Lots of colorful graffiti around which a lot of it I can only assume was done by Mile's friend Hailey who I love, really hope they open up the connection to them in future games.
- Has multiple framerate modes, with me mostly playing on the Fidelity Mode (30FPS all graphic enhancements on) but it's hard to go back from viewing the Performace RT mode which is 60FPS with ray-tracing, but holds back on everything else.

Soundtrack:8

- Game has a great soundtrack with a emphasis on hip-hop, not a lot of actual songs but Jaden Smith comes through with a theme song.
- The game explores the connection between Miles and music which I love, as music is a big part of my life also.

The game is more then just a re-skin of the original, it tells a different story about different struggles and really opens you up to the little side characters you see, but they do a great job on exploring the relationships with the people of New York/Harlem. I am very impressed with this Spider-Man universe Insomniac has built and hope the next game we get to play as a fully fledged Peter and Miles, it's set-up beautifully for that.

Miles Morales, regardless of adaptation, really is my favorite Spider-Man now. A very fun, short first solo-outing for Insomniac's Miles with a lot of charm and really neat iterations on an already incredibly fun gameplay formula.

Amazing Game But Not As Spiderman Remastered

Just a tiny bit better than the last Spider Man game.
