Played via the English fan translation Rhythm Heaven Silver.

They hit the ground running with the first entry in the series, its a shame this never left Japan, though some of the minigames definitely wouldn't have clicked with a western audience.
There are a couple stinkers here for sure - Quiz (?) - but lots of very solid minigames that were bound to be remastered in later entries.
I don't think this game is on the same level as DS, and definitely not Wii, but is worth a play if you have the means to.

I finally got around to playing this one, and I'm happy to report now that Rhythm Heaven has never had a bad entry.

In fact, this is super solid for the first game in the series. I think it's even more consistent than Rhythm Heaven DS. (with the obvious exception of stuff like Quiz, lol) Had a wonderful time!

I can only really recommend playing this game if you have never played a rhythm heaven game. So many minigames on their own are incessantly boring or unclear with their timing. Nevertheless, some of the remixes are bangers and if you haven't played another rhythm heaven this isn't a horrible place to start.

Finally getting to play this without emulator lag was so relieving. The judgement in some games is a bit iffy (Sneaky Spirits and Power Calligraphy got me hard) but overall, it was a very fun time. I don't know if it was my experience with the series beforehand, but it was surprisingly easy to perfect every game.

Fuck the drumming lessons, all my homies hate the drumming lessons
