it was a fun time with friends a long time ago back during release, but it really never captured me much outside of playing with my friends during those earlier months of its release. i think it's kind of an interesting approach to disguising a big aaa service game as a sort of almost fighting game, and mechanically i remember it being decently fun, but sometimes not the most balanced. when i'd play with friends usually i would be the one that was the most behind in terms of skill and levels in comparison to my friends and the rest of the lobby who would grind the hell out of this game, so public matches would sometimes be a blowout where i felt like i was bringing down the team. i was never really a huge fan of the game's progression and i never cared enough to play the game on my own time so it would suck being like a level 9 raider against 7 other guys who were all like prestige 3 level 17 or some shit when i would party with friends after the game had been out for a couple months and the good players were the ones who were still most active in the game. outside of that though i still got to make good memories playing private matches with friends and fucking around with the classes we rarely played as.

i think ultimately most of the fondness i associate with this game was just being able to use it as an outlet for playing a game with my friends who all didn't really have the most similar game taste. like i said before i think after the game had some time to let people get really good at it, hopping on to play some matches while being severely unexperienced and underleveled was just a pain and kinda killed the game for me. that isn't to say though that i dont think the game had something going for it, it had a neat concept and gameplay style, and there was most definitely a period of time early on where i considered the game a fun time in public lobbies.

The concept with it's combat, the diversity of the characters or archetypes and the setting in particular was actually unique and pretty interesting.

However, overtime it becomes tedious and boring as you keep playing and playing. Campaign was also lackluster.

A IDEIA É BOA MAS DEUS ME LIVRE DESSA EXECUÇÃO

Kind of a weird mix between 3rd person action game, beat em up, and a hero arena game. You select a classical fighter and join a team as you fight for control points, one team gradually pushing the other to their demise.

You roam the map freely and can lock on to one enemy at a time, while locked on you're in a kind of 1-v-1 fighting mode that feels like a beat em up except that you can target forward, left or right when delivering attacks, the opponent has to block on the same direction or get hit, and vice-versa. It adds an extra dimension to the combat but with lag it becomes more of a guessing game as you try to react on the right axis.

All the while others can target you and pile on the offense, making 2-on-1's a deadly affair unless you can skilfully juggle both opponents attacks - the direction factor making this much more difficult and impossible with lag. Depending on your class you'll be better off moving with the team and trying to out-number or match the enemy group while being careful to watch for ambushes.

The game was novel and the medieval mix of European, Asian, and Nordic warriors combined with a more 'realistic' spin on things made for a fun few weeks of play but it becomes highly repetitive, the hero classes didn't feel well balanced, there aren't many attacks, very few maps, and both encounters and the battle itself feel more down to luck than skill. While more content has come since I have no motivation to go back. I feel like I experienced everything the game has to offer.

I like the art direction but the gameplay feels like utter jank that gets boring after 5 minutes, the ugly ass animations also do not help.

Just does not feel good to play at all.

I'll never not be disappointment that this wasn't the Dynasty Warrior's clone it advertised it as and instead was a live-service Fighting game.

forced to play this game by old friends (it's trash, they have bad taste)

For such a multiplayer-focused game, For Honor contains a surprisingly-developed single player mode. Don't misunderstand; it's still clearly there for the purpose of familiarizing the player with the game's chief mechanics, role archetypes, and maps, but there is nonetheless a genuine narrative present as well. There's even replayability by way of collectible lore and player emblems. It's still not quite up the standards of, say, a Netherrealm game, but the effort is appreciated regardless.

ça manque d'arme à feu mais sinon le jeu est coolos maximus

The problem is that I feel like this game could be way more fun if it would have been developed by any other company. But just like Rainbow Six Siege I feel like you fall out of the gameplay loop so quickly that it's just not worth to play the game.

It has a fun combat system and the executions are fun. Everything else is just..... meh. The artstyle is boring, the game runs like shit on my pc, I have server conectivity issues, I have to play it in the fucking uplay launcher or what ever it's called and in general everything around and about this game makes me not want to play it.

6/10. Fuck Ubisoft. Fuck games as a service. Fuck this quadruple A bullshit. I hope that actually good games won't fall into the hands of bad companies in the future.

Someone please make a better version of this it would go so hard

Almost a fighting game, the only difference being that it is not boring

Excellent combat system the likes of which we had never seen and probably will never see again, unless they do a sequel.

One of the most unique and addictive fighting games which still holds up 7 years on! It is still getting supported with new content and balance changes. It's just a shame the dwindling playerbase can't support more than 3 or 4 different game modes.

The WORST game i have ever played in my life.

TLDR: Only get this game if you have 2-3 friends to play with, and for the love of all that's good, stay away from the For Honor forums and subreddits.

I've been playing For Honor on and off for about 5 years now. It's a one of a kind game that mixes the fighting and moba genres, creating something truly unique. If you spend some time to learn the basics of gameplay, it can be very enjoyable.

Unfortunately, that's where my praise ends. While the core gameplay is pretty solid, everything else surrounding the game makes for a very frustrating experience.

The toxicity of the For Honor community is rivaled only by few others. In it, you'll find some of the saltiest people in existence. Players that can't accept they're bad at the game, and will blame everything except their own lack of skill.

If you plan on purchasing the game to solo queue, make sure to set some money aside for therapy. The sheer incompetence of most of the teammates I've ever been matched with, haunts my dreams. A weird pattern I've noticed, is that, the reputation level of some players is inversely proportional to their actual skill. You'll see 10-20 rep players that play like pros, and 200+ rep players that can't get a kill to save their lives.

would love to come back and play more of this game but while i did play it for a while, it was so fun. multiplayer is toxic af tho

i love this game but its dogshit

Duels needs to be the focus of this game. I hit top 300 grandmaster rank at peak; its extremely unfortunate the development route they took. Can't blame them though. Duels you either win or lose, and the only person you have to blame at the end is yourself. Dominion/Brawl lets you convince yourself that you were always the real good guy and that its everyone else fault if it goes wrong. Needless to say those modes are far more popular than looking your responsibility over your own skills in the eye. Otherwise, an extremely precise and mechanically well thought out fighting game. At the highest skill levels, nothing needs to be up to chance if you're good enough and anticipate the opponent. There is no luck or tricky attacks, only figuring out the human behind the screen.

Also extremely toxic community which you unfortunately need to participate in if you want to get better. Like genuinely the number of people's evenings I ruined using voice and text chat is directly proportional to how good I was at the game. My favourite victims were the RPers who would salute in brawls and talk about being "dishonourable" when yeeted off a ledge, but then proceed to lose the 1v1 they demand 7 times in a row.

The hard truth about FH and life is that everything is run by mean people. There is no redemption or epic anime arc. The only way you can control your experience is to have the cold, hard, skills required to run things yourself.

My friends stopped playing with me after I learned how to parry 200ms light attacks 100% of the time.

for honor content creators carrying this cuz ubisoft doing nothing

For honor had a really good idea, but failed to execute. I soaked sooooo many hours all for nothing. This game is an unbalanced mess and everyone I have asked (who played the game) their opinion they said they hated it. I'm waiting on the downfall of this terrible game.

Como concepto y prueba de gameplay para un ratito está genial. Pero, después de un rato cansa y no hay mucha razón para regresar a jugar. Es un buen juego para un fin de semana de no saber qué jugar.

Jogo excelente, diálogos dublados e bastante sangue!

Exactly as good a multiplayer game as it is terrible as a single player game. I would love to know how the Dynasty Warriors team received this game.

Was fun when it initially released then got boring.
