Ninjala desperately feels like it's trying to capitalize on the Splatoon hype by making a cute, accessible online multiplayer game but the results are mediocre at best. I did not find the game to be particularly good or interesting, but the game still somehow exists years later so I guess it's doing something right.
Played with a friend and we were both bored to death after about an hour.
The second you open the game, you are bombarded with 200 million popups and advertisements to buy the battle pass and other shit.
Even besides that, almost nothing about Ninjala feels original or interesting, it has a serious hard on for Splatoon and despite copying some aspects and aesthetics, they couldn't even copy it properly without fumbling it.
More combat based but feels button mash-y and brainless, it reminded me of the DMC reboot with how the combos are chained along with a grapple.
Just stay away and buy Splatoon instead, Ninjala is a waste of time.

they really had a competition for make the worst game possible or something cause wtf is this
played this because i didnt get to experience splatoon 1, 2 or 3 and tried to fill that void of missing out on something that seems really great. Ninjala is decent and I boot it up from time to time when I actually bother to boot up my Lite.

I played the Ninjala Beta and really enjoyed it. After getting the actual game, I only played for a couple of hours and never played again. I'm not sure how it is now, but the open beta was great. My only gripe was when you'd have to click random buttons and hope that you'll win the rock, paper, scissors -like gameplay in order to knock out your opponent. I actually rarely lost whenever that happened, but it felt annoying. However, I'm not sure if that changed.
